I feel like you could replicate his production with most big body backs. Dude had 7 fumbles last year and lost 4 of em, lead the league in fumbles by a RB. That could be a season killer.
He is so underrated in Fantasy too. He should be drafted in the 1st round but he fell twice to me in the late 2nd and early 3rd in my drafts. Such great burst of speed and my ideal power back!
Pros: Physical Runner Great Cuts, Trucks, and Stiff Arms Invites contact but doesn't take unnecessary hits Great heart and mentality A monster on 4th and inches Cons: Injuries in 2 of last 3 seasons Doesn't have breakaway speed Needs to protect ball more Needs to be better at securing the ball when catching I really like Carson and think he could be a top 5 runningback in the league if he improves his ball security
I agree. He needs to find a way to develop some break away speed though because their are times when the blocking is there that he could break away for a huge run but gets tackled after 15-20 yards. Gotta find a way to get past the next level. Derrick Henry is a good example of having the speed and the power making him really a complete back
@@benyaminben-david8532 I agree. RBs like Lamar Jackson, McCaffrey, and Cook have the ability to turn good blocking into long TDs, Carson should be able to do that too
Isaiah Scott exactly. Well Lamar isn’t a running back but I get your point 😂. The blocking has been there he just has to learn how to hit the gap and accelerate in the next level. To finish the run. Then he’ll definitely be a more complete back. I think he’ll make a big jump from last year to this year and that his ball security will significantly improve. I think he’ll have somewhere around 1350 rushing yards and 10 Rushing TD’s and 450 receiving yards and 3 Receiving TD’s.
@@raudelchavez2059 your kidding me right? this man rams into every single person in his path, every single run...carson absolutely deserved that high 99 trucking card, other than derrick henry there isnt a better straight, up and down runner than chris carson, mans is a bulldozer
Needs also to improve his speed. He needs a yard or two of extra pace so as to be able to break away big runs for touchdowns, or at least not easily be caught by defenders.
@@Bigolcheeser There are notable exceptions to that, Adrian Peterson being one. Even Steven Jackson had better breakaway speed than Chris Carson does...
chris carson is an absolute beast, runs harder than anyone else in the league while also very agile so they have to respect his jukes as well. all that on top of excellent vision, burst, hands, and blocking. mad underrated but won't be for long if he's lucky enough to stay healthy. you can tell why pete loves him despite the crowded backfield.
I was super proud of this guy. He maximized his potential. So many extra yards after contact and 3rd and long first downs. Hope he is all ready to go again.
SEATTLES chris carson is a monster running back. He's pertty dang good. Cant wait for next season. Seattle will have another good season and so will chris carson. 💙💚💙💚💙💚💙 Go hawks Seattle nation BABY. Seattle all the way. 💙💚💙💚💚💚💙
His smash-your-face type run style along with his elusiveness is something I’m gonna miss so much in Seattle. I hope he knew that he satisfied our run needs while he was there, by a long shot. Too but his hard run style isn’t sustainable for a long career. Honestly one of the most underrated this decade.
I watched the first 4+ minutes. Carson is a very good receiver. Great as a safety valve. Block and release to the flats. Wilson should do this more often.
It speaks to a teams identity, but also to a teams respect/belief in a player when you can throughout a season look at a 3rd and 6 situation and believe you can run it for the first. Teams often get away from the run early if immediate dividends arent presented and I think that logic essentially ended the Bevell era in Seattle due to that being the case his last couple years present. People want Wilson to throw it 600 plus times a year it seems, but Smash Mouth football has been their identity for years and it seems to cover up personnel issues recently in many ways defensively. When you have a guy like Carson it becomes easy to understand why you run the football. Great 7th round pick by the staff. I forsee him on more top 100 lists if he stays healthy.
His running style is reminiscent of Ryan Mathews. He's very quick in short spaces and has highly burstful short acceleration, and he is aggressive, not shying away from contact when he has to. Those tree trunk sized legs make him difficult to bring down. Unfortunately, he does not have breakaway speed. I was hoping to see him break one to the house for a 40 yarder plus, leaving defenders struggling to catch him, but in the one time that he got open field, the Tampa defender caught up quite easily with him and stripped the ball from him. Also, the defenses do not load the box against him because they fear Russ, making it difficult for him to have opportunities for such breaks and the blocking for him is average.
@@rickynabor9701 Everyone talks about DK Metcalf being this freak of nature. Look up Chris Carson's physique, dude is a beast. I think he could hold his own against Henry

Most of his carries are on 2nd down. Suppose that's when he gives hiis most. The Hawks becoming too predictable though. This guy's good, but he's not Marshawn in his prime.
His running style is just demoralizing for defenders. Most underrated RB in the league
David LS fosho dawg 💯
Peter Bieter Fr if he balls out this year there ain’t no reason why he wouldn’t wanna be paid more

Yep. You're right.
Joseph Eriksen it’s alright. Would have been the same result as in the regular season
Most underrated RB in the NFL right know I feel. Back to Back 1,000+ yard seasons says it all and still very overlooked
