Hi! Before I go into this I must note I am not super on point about the lore. I learn something new and interesting about this series on the daily! But I am a huge fan of the animation, so I went to see the exact changes from the original opening to this one! Keep in mind I know there were little tweaks made to the animation while the series progressed, but I am literally pointing out the differences I see between this one and the original. 00:13 Two extra Uk'otoa eyes behind Fjord (the cloven crystals?) 00:18 Veth's face is reflected in the puddle as Nott splashes through 01:05 Mollymauk's coat is now muddy and flaps in the rain vs the snow 01:07 The coat flies away as the crow does tilting the staff to nicely transition to 01:09 A ships mast and Kingsley in a crows nest Kingsley is now Taliesin's title card instead of Caduceus 01:21 Matt's book flashes a new slew of characters Essek Thelyss; Orly Skiffback; Yeza and Luc Brennato; Yussa Errenis; a lovely pirate lady that is yet to be known; and Martina Steward 01:26 as Nott's cape obscures the party, Nott turns into Veth, and Cad turns into Kingsley 01:27 Party is facing down a big ol' Uk'otoa instead of a dragon 01:30 Firey blue Mighty Nein Emblem instead of the Critical Role Emblem I think that's it! Let me know what I missed. I loved seeing the return of this theme and all the little tweaks they did. So fun!
Great intro! I love how the previous campaigns aren't being shelved and bring even more laughs and chills. And, that flaming logo at the end is amazing!
This was the best campaign they’ve done even though C1 was a close second. The mighty nine had the best characters and group dynamic. Would love to see them go back and take this group up to lvl 20 like they did in C1.
I love the little detail of having Kingsley in the group vs. Ukatoa ending shot. I understand only changing out Cad in a few shots, namely the individual name shot and the end one. It would be a lot harder to change him out of all the other shots. But that they added Kingsley to the ending feels so... right.
No other opening has come close to beating the amazing detail level of C2's, especially with all the subtle yet meaningful changes made throughout the campaign
Really hope they take even more creative liberties with C2 than they did with C1. C2 is awesome but man does it have some moments that could be adjusted. Especially early on.

This got me so HYPE during the Reunited special, I’ve really missed this intro. I can only imagine what it must have been like in a theatre showing!
I really, really, REALLY hope the Nein get a show too.
They were what finally got me into DnD (only a passing interest before) at the time and the only showing of the game being played that I watched all the way through.
It also helped a lot to see how the game was played IN PRACTICE and not just having it explained.
Good news!! They are!!
they are coming !!!!
WE GOT ONE BOYSSSS
This is by far my favorite of their openings!
SO GLAD TO SEE THESE GUYS
Look, it’s Thursday night is good, but nothings gonna ever top your turn to roll
holy shit i just noticed that for 1 frame you can see the face of Veth in the puddle that Nott is stepping on 0:18 ... this is amazing
Really missed The Mighty Nein. Hoping they do some more stuff, perhaps a show.
Mighty Nein really got the best intros, the best plot, the best characters
They've set the bar for critical role and I'm not sure they'll ever be passed. This group was special.
Best intro certainly. Plot and characters? YMMV. But certainly without a doubt special.
I missed this so much. And the small edits just made it feel so real. I want them to make this kind of intro for C3!
I loved the transition from Caduceus to Kingsley, during the pan around at the end 👌
Im soo happy on the final transition of the characters they switch Caduceus to Kingsley and Nott to Veth! Thats soo genius!
A smile every time
i loved the mighty neins intro so damn much. i hope they keep making new adventures and id love to see the campaign animated
The concentration of details and meanings for every second of the video is amazing. I would love to watch a series like this. This is great work. I bow down to you in admiration!
Still my favorite intro, and I love Kingsley’s added animation!
Have to pop back in to listen to the theme periodically. Wish we had this when geek & sundry launched lol but still epic
So hyped to see the updated intro
ABSOLUTE BANGER!. Please do this style opening for bells hells!
I can't get enough of the Mighty Nein!
As always, when I saw Molly's coat I almost began to cry.
I know it's a big ask, but I wish C3 could have an animated intro to match this. The song though is incredible itself
I am in love with this so much!
Still their best opening theme. I feel so hyped after hearing this!
i can't WAIT for the animation adaptation on prime!!
Sam Rigel voicing a alcohol drinking klepto goblin thief! Oh boy...!
I wish they would bring this back. This epicness.
im sooooooooo excited for this show just finished vox machina season 2 and have started watching to critical rolls second campaign
Welcome back old friends. Oh? You wish to hear what happened to the Mighty Nein after they prevented a disaster that could have distroyed Wildemount?
Come then. Pull up a chair, and get yourself a pint of ale. Sit, and you'll hear how they vanquished, once and for all, the demonic serpent god Uk'otoa...
I am so glad they didn't change already God-tier vocals. Still worthy of playing on repeat! 😁
Still the best intro by miles. Your Turn To Roll really gets you in the mood in a way that Thursday Night doesn't, and these animators really know how to hit the beats and give it that impact. Please let them have a crack at YTTR for the Bell's Hells.
This is getting a show on Amazon prime!!!
I didn't notice before, but at the second when Beau's intro cuts to Nott, you can see Veth's face in the puddle that Nott steps into.
00:13 Two extra Uk'otoa eyes behind Fjord (the cloven crystals?)
00:18 Veth's face is reflected in the puddle as Nott splashes through
01:05 Mollymauk's coat is now muddy and flaps in the rain vs the snow
01:07 The coat flies away as the crow does tilting the staff to nicely transition to
01:09 A ships mast and Kingsley in a crows nest
Kingsley is now Taliesin's title card instead of Caduceus
01:21 Matt's book flashes a new slew of characters
Essek Thelyss; Orly Skiffback; Yeza and Luc Brennato; Yussa Errenis; a lovely pirate lady that is yet to be known; and Martina Steward
01:26 as Nott's cape obscures the party, Nott turns into Veth, and Cad turns into Kingsley
01:27 Party is facing down a big ol' Uk'otoa instead of a dragon
01:30 Firey blue Mighty Nein Emblem instead of the Critical Role Emblem
I think that's it! Let me know what I missed. I loved seeing the return of this theme and all the little tweaks they did. So fun!
Man, I love this animation.
GOD this is such a cool song
At first I thought this was fanmade from the sheer heart put into it, but then I saw the official account and OMIGOD THIS IS AWESOME
Definitely is their best opening. Gave me all the feels hearing it again.
vox machina was a great story.
bells hells are a fun crowd
but there is just something magical about the mighty nein.
If this was the pandemic again, I'd be watching all the live stuff. I've just watched the Vox Machina animated show and I love it!
This song NEVER gets okd and the new parts of animation gives me chills!
You know why are you here!
The best party , the best shows , l wish you had live shows coming up.
M9 will forever be my intro to all things DnD and CritRole!
The chills
Fantasy Martha Stewart my beloved
Really hope they take even more creative liberties with C2 than they did with C1. C2 is awesome but man does it have some moments that could be adjusted. Especially early on.
Let’s be real: this theme song will never get old even on a 10 hour loop.
1:24 was the BEST!! She made the intro after just a few lines in the beginning of the reunion.
This needs to be a show right now
VoxMachina was made into a show and was greenest for up to season 3. I'm sure M9 will get the same treatment ^^ just give it some time :)
This song still gives me goose bumps. It's just so perfect!
