The harpejji is a super cool instrument but I think it’ll be a niche thing until you guys decide to put out a budget version. It’s obviously worth what you are charging but at that price only successful professional musicians (a relatively small group) are going to want to shell out that kind of money on something novel. I feel like a stripped down version at somewhere around $1k would blow up and even increase demand for the more expensive flagship versions.
@@keepyoursins cheapest model is $3,199 usd. Again I think it’s a fair price for what it is but I don’t see it becoming very popular with that being the cheapest model.
yeah that's why I am not picking one up. the cheapest one being over 1 and a half months of rent is just not something I can do. but I would pay 1000 for a budget one!
@@k4nj1 I was so confused at first when listening because I was only listening through the right ear of my headphones and the intro was completely silent lol
Hand made and high quality, I suppose. Clearly others agree, and I think that a "budget" version at 1-2k would be really successful. I just don't see that happening if they can't first make money off of the more expensive, hand-made versions.
it doesnt look that expensive to produce, they could bring the price down if they really wanted, but could probably mass produce them in time@@thejay8963
I politely request a full version of each sample, especially the harmonics and strumming. I would so listen to those on repeat for hours (not exaggerated)
Drop the price to, ohhh I don't know, something remotely affordable and I'll buy one. $3000 for base model is ridiculous, especially when they're not proven to retain their value or function over time. Get smart and collect royalties from someone who can mass produce them (eg squire, fender) on the cheap while you remain the boutique OG dealer. Greedy mfers.
as a pianist, armed with this instrument, my long-standing dreams and aspirations to crescendo a sustained note will finally be realized. take that 2set
I know these are expensive to begin with, but I imagine the strings get pretty grimy with slides, and that is a ton of strings to replace if you play regularly
I havent tried this but if you want similar but cant afford it you could prehaps in theory anyway mod a cheap lap steel for a diet small version of this, if you had the skills to add frets to it and lower the action then all you need to do is settle on a tuning that works for you and label out the wholes/flat-sharps
at that point you'd just have a guitar with a flat fretboard and slightly more string spacing, you might as well just learn some tapping techniques on a regular electric
It's basically doing hammer ons with a guitar. As a guitarist, this shit actually looks quite difficult to learn. It's like piano mixed with guitar, which means you have to learn both guitar and piano techniques to play it. Tldr: it takes a lot of practice to play this instrument.
Would you like a piano or guitar?
Yes
Why not both :D
