Dear Kim, Thank you for your devotion to teaching both children and adults about the wonders of science! You are a true hero and inspiration. I wish you all joy and love, and hope that you will continue teaching for many years to come.
Thank you so much Mrs. Preshoff! Your videos in Ted-ED along with other videos in Ted-ED helped my grades boom more than ever! I also love watching them simply for fun and interest.

Very good video! Thank you Kim Preshoff for sharing this with us :) I live in Santiago de Chile, a city historically affected by smog. The city lies in a valley, which makes the problem worse. In the last years, luckily, the cases of extreme pollution have dropped significantly thanks to state policies, but there is still a lot to do.
Ms. Preshoff, I am glad that your gift for passing along concepts and information in interesting manner has been widely enjoyed by the world through Ted-ed. It is obvious that you find educating to be a deep purpose and calling in your life, and I am honoured to benefit from it even though I am half way across the world from you! Wishing you more recognition and acknowledgement all the way from India❤️
Thank you all the way from Germany, Kim! I wish I had had a great teacher such as yourself back when I was in school. Keep making the world a better place by continuing to educate - you're marvelous at that!
Hi, generally a good video. However, nitrous oxide (N2O) is not the same as nitric oxide, also know as nitrogen dioxide (NO2 or N2O4 since it exists as a dimer), which is what the real problem is in smog. This is often represented as NOx. These are very different compounds with completely different properties. They are as different as water and hydrogen peroxide. Nitrous oxide, is a colorless, nontoxic gas, in fact it is used as a dental anesthetic. N2O4 is a reddish gas which is highly reactive, corrosive, and toxic. It would also be reasonable to refer to the compounds in smog as "nitrogen oxides", if you prefer. Please correct this.
I am slightly annoyed at the way she pronounced Edinburgh and Glasgow it's Pronounced (Glas-Goh) and Edinburgh is pronounced (Edin-Bruh) not that difficult. Never even heard them be pronounced that way before.
You go Kim. I'm so happy that teacher like you still exist.

1:21 who also thought it was a cow at first? xD
umm it's a cow
But, it IS a cow
Oh, nvm, it's a bull because it has horns, but it's also genderless, because it has udders and horns
cows do have horns
He meant who thought that it was the cow which causes the mentioned kind of pollution.
