      I just quit Mercedes. All program awful and customers expect to get cars for under invoice. Never dealt with such cheap customers like right now. Only cars we can lease for good price are the 23 EVs. Bye bye Mercedes.

      When I was looking to lease a car back in 2022 , I narrow out my options from sedan to SUV which was a c43/GLC 43 , M340i /X3M40I. I was going to be a Mercedes GLC 43 until the salesman said they were going to charge me 10,000 over MSRP so I left and went to BMW and built a 2023 X3m40 with no markup zero down 15K 36 months. well equipped I couldn’t be more happier. It took 2 1/2 months to arrive at the dealership.

    I have seen Mercedes low stock since 2022. There were NO GLC’s in a showroom and the the four and six cylinder X3’s in stock at the BMW dealer

    The 2023 GLC is a complete redesign and they’ve been having many issues with their mild hybrid / electrical system. Similar issues to what they had on their GLEs. You’d think they’d have figured it out by now. Other than that I love how the new GLC looks vs the X3…

    I was looking at the GLC AMG Line to buy, but the dealerships around me are charging a markup of anywhere from 5-10k on top of the car's price. What would you recommend?

      What does your money say? If you make so much you just don't care, or your illogical heart says, "AMG!" then you know what you can afford and take while bent over the whiskey barrel with margarita salt and lime lubricant.
      You price M40i against the AMG line? If anything the SQ line may be a better fit, although the interior I think is a little drab compared to the new BMW interior. I'm just not sure if you want the badge or the Pan-America grille (which the Audi has, but not sure about SQ line. It may default to the hex grille). If you want sporty and reliability, I'd go with the inline 6 from BMW all day, along with the driving dynamics. If you want a very nice interior but questionable reliability (which may or may not cost you in terms of repairs, but you have warranty in the lease), then go MB. I will tell you that maintenance on the AMG is probably going to be *A LOT*. The Volvo 40k was about $1500 (diff/transmission flushes), the Audi at 40k (with dct transmission) was going to be about $1200 (these are dealerships that are lower than local dealerships. I have to drive about 1.5 hours to save $500 to $600 on these bigger services). I can't imagine what a similar service would be on AMG line. Probably $2100 to $2500 depending upon the dealership. Just keep that in mind when you think about overall cost. The included maintenance on BMW and also Audi, I think, is a *BIG FINANCIAL RELIEF*!

      Never buy a MB. Lease

  • @ryanshannon6963
    @ryanshannon6963 Месяц назад

    I think MB is pushing the technology limit a bit more than BMW. Otherwise, the 4/6 cylinder BMW engines (after the plastic chain guide fiasco) are actually quite reliable. I've heard the 6 cylinder MB's are pretty good. But the 6 cylinder BMW engines are supposed to be rather robust, but I'd take an interior MB over a BMW interior all day. But, the BMW interior isn't bad by any means and considering the reliability and probable technology reliability, I'd probably go BMW. I had a Volvo (newer generation SPA) and it was great after all the software updates. Engine was reliable (even with the super charger and turbo charger combination inline-4). The transmission was *CRAZY* smooth. BMW reliability was once a joke, it's now actually a consideration factor, which historically limited them to simply 3-year lease and throw away.

    0.0022 MF is still very high. Wait till it gets closer to 0.001, which would be 2.4% and still not the best like 0%..1.99%. Do not overpay, let them accumulate as many cars as possible and get a car after they set a good discount on it. Or, negotiate the price if they can't lower the MF. Never pay MSRP. Ask for 10%..15% off MSRP and then buy/lease. If you don't negotiate, you lose thousands every year compared to those who do their financial homework.

    But you pay a handsome ransom for a cheapish interior quality and shorter-lived plastic parts under the hood.
    A good car to lease.
    Not worth it as a long-term buy in America. There are a few better and cheaper alternatives, that aren't as "sporty" but will not disappoint.

    Please look which car brands make the most profits. MB is always one of the top well above BMW. So dont buy MB if you are not wealthy enough.
