He may be speaking the truth, but he doesn't understand the science.
You would know this as soon as he started with "How much CO2 is in the atmosphere".
He thinks, that because there's only 0,042% CO2 in the atmosphere, its impact on global warming is miniscule.
In reality oxygen and nitrogen (which are over 99% of the atmosphere) do not contribute to the warming effect because these gases do not retain heat.
Only that small amount of less than 1% affects the climate - to be more precise, CO2 is 94% of that small amount.

I too think that the lefties are much too prominent on this. You have to have the right arguments though and a powerplant is much easier to keep clean than all the exhaust pipes from vehicles. It is all concentrated on a few big spots instead of millions of spots. You can regulate those single spots a lot easier and therefore keep the emission a lot lower.

The fact that the train company runs through several states disrupt putting it simply the running of their trains . This is a self funded company ( not tax funded company ) a lot of American companies and farmers are going to face bankruptcy. This is self inflicted bankruptcy on the US and the government is not going to pick up the pieces ( whichever government we may have because there is no plan for infrastructure) while China is growing with the fastest trains in the world we are not helping farmers facing extreme draught and water banns in Ohio) trains are our only hope and solution , also better underground piping between states . We have a large country . We should be United in moments of crisis and we are facing a massive crisis . Infrastructure is the key of a strong country . This is not a laugh issue

Permafrost isn't 'melting' either! And the release of CH4 is insignificant to the world's budget...and CO2 only has an effect between 14 & 16 micrometres, so it is saturated.

We've planted to many trees, even in places that don't need them. There are more acres of forests in the US today than back when Europeans first came here. The paper and lumber industry plants pine trees as a crop to be harvested just like beans and corn. Currently they plant more than they cut down as they buy more property. So that grandfather is ill-informed as well.

The California Air Resource Management Board decided to mandate that all gasoline sold in the state needed 11% MTBE, despite having conducted no testing. Shortly afterward, it was discovered that MTBE would affect hoses and gaskets in engines, so gas stations had to put warning signs up stating that they would not be responsible if your vehicle broke down or caught fire after using that fuel. Then they discovered that MTBE was leaking through the storage tanks and contaminating the ground water and was a carcinogen. Lawrence Livermore Labs did testing on the reformulated gasoline, and found that the California grade fuel produced 8% less energy per gallon than the previous unleaded fuel, so people had to burn 9% more fuel to drive the same distance, so whatever imagined reduction in pollution per gallon was more than offset by needing to use more gallons of fuel. This is what California does to its own state, and they want to do it to the rest of the US.

the problem isn't in the country, it's in the entire world. It's the develloped countries that buy all the commodities on the back of the other ones, the developing countries burning fossils to try to become rich, we are responsible for this. When climate makes agricolture and many other things much harder, the poor will be the first to be hit. Then after those, the rich won't have the cheap labour and resources to stay rich. Our actions now will affect everybody. Not doing something now will cost much more than what we save by ignoring it.
