We did our first Celebrity cruise to Alaska in 2014. We loved it, it was in laterJune and weather was cooler. We were in Juneau during the summer solstice. It was such a beautiful cruise. I would definitely not recommend going in May as the weather is still very cool.
@@chief3cw we are going last week in May first week of June on Celebrity Edge. We’d rather deal with the cold over the crowds and kids. Being chilly is a sacrifice we are willing to make.😅
@@laurieGaryCruise is the edge you’re going on the original edge? If so, it was the ship we sailed on in it’s inaugural year 2019 we did a Mediterranean cruise Rome-Barcelona. We were not very impressed with the ship. It seemed to be catered to those that have a lot more money than the average person. There wasn’t much in the shops that wasn’t expensive or anything we were interested in. It was more of a novelty it being the first Edge of the edge class ships. The external (Edge) elevator was fairly interesting. That’s was our take on the ship.
Alaska on the Celebrity Millennium in 2022... And I think I also did it on Infinity in 2001. Worth doing the railroad in Skagway, the tram up the mountain in Juneau. Beautiful cruise! Also do the train up to Denali!!!
Good work, folks. We sailed on Infinity a year ago- when she was doing South America. While the itinerary was fabulous and the food and service was great, the ship was not in tip top shape. In fact, the suites at the aft of the ship were not even sold because they needed to be updated. The recent refresh was timely. We are Elite and have sailed on most of their ships except for the Edge class and it was by far the saddest looking ship. The bathrobes were frayed… the balcony not cleaned.. no proper curtains… Patio door did not close properly… Because it is an older ship, Celebrity will only invest so much to keep them afloat. We do love this class of ship. The Solstice Class ships get more attention. In any case, we have enjoyed your videos. 👨🦳
Im glad we got her right after refurbishment but the cabins coulda used a lil more love for sure! I want my bedside outlets!!!!! Also, sliding shower door please! But sometimes we will trade a lil wear and tear for good customer service and less crowds. I believe we are going to try and get on the Apex next year.
What a good question and honestly kinda hard to answer because all those Caribbean Islands are different countries! I would say definitely 20 if not more. Mostly in the Caribbean and Mexico but also Bermuda, Greece, and Canada. That’s why we love cruising….it allows you to get a little bit of everything.
Great tour! Was it warmer in the Solarium so the pool was more comfortable for a winter cruise? That was definitely pickleball, as we play. Glad to see they have it. About the previous video, we never let a good sauce go to waste either!😂
Thanks for the series. I will be on the Infinity in July - so you are giving me lots of great info! I do have a question - does Celebrity do any sort of white night party? From what I’ve been reading, it looks like they do a Full Moon Party where you are invited to wear white. Basically I just need to know if I should plan to bring something white. With my propensity for spills, I was hoping to avoid white. 😊
We are 90% sure they did. That’s not our thing so we weren’t really on the lookout for it, but I feel like I remember the cruise director mentioning it. I think they may list it on the app in advance before the cruise. You can also check out JJ cruises, they just did the Infinity last week.
We are booked to do that cruise April 28 - May 8, 2025. We are really looking forward to this cruise.
@@chief3cw have a wonderful time!!!
Sush a beautiful siip!! Can't wait to sail her again.
Same!

@ I’m (Laurie) an aerialist so I’m looking forward to the entertainment on board. Otherwise I feel like for Alaska we will be off the ship everyday.
Great video! Many thanks!! Cannot wait for the next video
Thank you!!!
Loved this, we can't wait to see what video you post next
Part 5 coming soon!
Thank you so much

Another great and educational video!
Glad you liked it!😍
I enjoyed your commentary, especially. Great video.
Thank you so much!
Yes, they are playing pickle ball. The first time I ever saw it, was when I was visiting my friend in the Villages in Florida. I've never tried it
Thank you! I feel like most viewers will know that and be like “duh” but us city folk aren’t always exposed to as many “sports.”
Really informative!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Of course! Thank YOU for watching!!!
As a fellow Brit,I can agree that we love the sunshine!😎😎😎😂😂😂
When is it too cold?😂
@@laurieGaryCruise I have been known to sunbathe in winter clothing!😂

Excellent! We haven’t booked it yet but I think it’s a go, and I believe it’s the APEX doing the Seattle/Alaska route.

How many countries have you seen total on all your cruise adventures??? So amazing!

Yes the Solarium was quite warm and comfortable! Le Petit Chef needs to package that sauce and sell it in a bottle! Absolutely delicious!!!!
Left out the Sunset bar aft of the buffet.

Battle for the hot dogs! 😂
It’s like fight club…..but a buffet!
If there were trivia games, what were the prizes for the winners?
So sorry we didn’t play trivia.
Guys, part 4 was good. No Escargot with Dinner.😅😅
We probably didn’t film it cause we thought we were getting too repetitive!😂😂😂
