My first DIY wood project on a BMX bike. Using my wood carving skills to cut out some custom wheels for my Bmx bike to go riding, first in the streets, then in skatepark to do tricks.

Another great video, fun to watch, maybe try again with a harder wood. Spruces and Firs are quite soft and generally tend to split when drying. Whatever next, I can not wait for the next chapter in Ola's crazy life.

Hey nice vid, interesting flintstone bike you made there, an idea to keep the integrity of the wheel firm would be to have 2 rather thin metal plates in each side of each wheel, tightly held which I think would keep them from snapping apart

since ur cutting them to make them circular... maybe cut them out of boards witht he gran that goes longways... or making a lamanate of thinner boards with perpendicular grains so that the other piece is supporting the weaker grain...

Try doing wheels out of oak its the best oak is very stiff wood and hard to brake its even hard to cut but i think you can do it
