  • Are you a Bridgerton fan? Then join us behind the scenes at Belton House in Lincolnshire, which is looked after by the National Trust. A filming location for Queen Charlotte: a Bridgerton Story, this 17th-century home has been used as a set for many popular TV series and movies. Belton can be seen in the 1995 production of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth and, most recently, has featured as King George III’s palace in the Bridgerton universe.
Along with a tour of some familiar scenes from the silver screen, you’ll take a closer look at a jewel in the furniture collection - a one-of-a-kind lapis lazuli cabinet. A deep blue gemstone, lapis lazuli has been used as decoration for centuries - perhaps most notably in the funerary mask of Tutankhamun. For a cabinet to be almost entirely covered in the material makes it an extremely rare object.

I fell in love with this house when it played Rosings back in 1995. It is stunning.

Excellent presentation. Beautiful property and contents. We decided to discontinue our National Trust membership because our dog was not permitted to accompany us during many of our visits, except during winter months 🫢🦮🦴

Beautiful house and wonderful to have highlighted in the video the important historical contributions of so many women. And a disabled woman too. Makes such a nice change from all the stories of able bodied men.

Able-bodied men made history, discovered and conquered continents and built and decorated houses like this. Which were the "important contributions" made by women? 😂😂😂

I'm an artist as well and can draw very finely but I deliberately write horribly because I want only myself to understand what I wrote and not for others.
