PHASMO LOVE! I honestly never got the point of this game unless I had a group to play with, but I love this weekly solo sweatfests. Your stream of conciousness narration is cute AF and it's just good vibes.
OtsuRunie, thanks for giving us another weekly challenge vid, it was a blast! I actually had more fun with this challenge last night than I thought I would; great parabolic mic practice! But man did I get rused by second-guessing myself. I should really know better by now that you're always right: if in doubt, it's a goryo... 1:51 Starting Round 1 3:22 Yeah, I ran in and flipped the breaker ASAP to try to warm the place up 10:54 Nice orb find! 18:35 Wrapped up round 1 quickly! 19:05 Round 2 start! 36:28 Yeah, same. One of those rounds took me like 40 min last night... 46:33 Found the room! And quick spirit box, nice! 54:19 Nice! Round two done! 54:52 Alright, starting Round 3 58:23 Oh, that was quick! 1:06:23 Oh. Hello there. 1:13:05 And that's it for round three and this week's phasmo challenge! 1:14:29 I'm so glad you stuck it out! These weekly challenges and the other phasmo content are so much fun! Thank you, Runie~
Thanks for the VOD, devious detective! Looking forward to the uncut version! Now, in regards to urban exploring, at least for me, it doesn't have much of a charm on its own. It's more like, you first stumble upon a story, such as the horrors of Poveglia, the fires of Kursha-2, or on how Fort Jefferson got abandoned. Then you go "Wow. To think this actually happened", or a similar reaction (chance increased for history nerds), and you decide your next adventure will be to actually see those places and see what you can find, in hopes of understanding how living those events must've been. So the charm is more like the lovechild of your knowledge of the story and your ability to reconstruct this or that event with the evidence you find. If you'd like to give it one more chance, I'd recommend you to first choose a historical site with a story you seriously like, then see if you can get yourself there, and give it a go to that event reconstruction exercise. You're also free to not listen to my rant and do whatever you want, after all, I AM the sort of idiot who risks life and limb for a piece of paper with something written on it. Hope you enjoy your next adventure!
1:55 - 1st run! 10:50 - Ghorbs! 14:55 - Spooky 20:15 - 2nd run! 39:00 - A noise! 45:30 - This room, parhaps? 53:00 - Nice! 55:00 - 3rd run! 1:01:04 - Friendship lamps! 1:09:35 - She missed the ghost writing on purpose because she loves us! 1:13:26 - Still absolutely loving these Phasmo videos, also loving the my slow burn progress through the game and these definitely give me the motivation to do some ghost hunting myself! Thank you, Runie for another fun Wednesday video!
I really enjoy this Phasmo weekly challenge series! Still, if you want to mix it up in the future I recommend giving the game Forewarned a try. It's very similar to Phasmophobia but with pyramids, cursed ghosts, a bit of treasure hunting... and maybe one or two totally harmless and definitely not deadly traps
Yes! I 100% want to see more! I was seriously bummed when I thought you were gonna drop phasmo as its one of my favorite games. Then I was super happy when you actually started to really love it! So please more!!
I love these videos so much. I feel like this is all I was missing, some long form channel uploads. One of my FAVORITE things for streamers to do. I hope you consider playing some other games in videos like this and maybe even some we won't see on stream :3 more runie! Woo!
As someone just starting to watch you more, these shorter videos are a great way to get some condensed Runie content. I also find it really engaging to see someone who's an expert at one particular thing show off their skills, and you're definitely the best streamer I've seen play Phasmo. Plus, it didn't hurt to learn that you also play DnD weekly from your chatting-being left behind is why I always gravitate towards high dex characters, lol. I tired to change that in my current campaign by playing a halfling, but then in 2024 edition they buffed halfling movement speed back up, PLUS my DM gave me a magic item that increases my speed by 10 feet, so... yeah. I'm still the fastest 3 foot druid on land.
Even though I don't play Phasmo, I'm really enjoying these weekly challenge videos you're doing. Getting to see a rising pro (and my favorite evil woman) do these challenges and talk us through the thought processes and strategies is really informative and relaxing. Great job this week, and I'll keep watching them as long as you keep making them!
I know I don't have a say in this but, by all means please keep em coming Runie They are most definitely a load of fun watching you hunt down the ghost, and using your skill of process of elimination to determine what it is Thank you Runie for the... vod, mhmm yeah um vod that's right 🌹
I did a lot of Urban Exploration as a high schooler with friends (ie: young and stoopid) but I would consider it something you do when you're bored and want out of the house, I guess. Mostly broke into abandoned schools late at night in adjacent towns/cities, but I've seen plenty of vids of folks going into places like foreclosed malls, or shopping centers, heck even old military bases. I guess I'm the kind of person who can just head off in a direction and make my own adventure, that might be why it appealed to me. Perhaps I'm too old for it now, though. Idk.
The idea of prerecorded content is pretty nice IMO. You're doing the Phasmo weekly challenges anyways and your having a good time with it On the other hand more variety can't hurt. There's a lot of room for experimentation with this format. Regarding urban exploration 00:23:27 Some may do it for thrill-seeking from the eerieness and immanent danger associated with those lost places. But people also do it out of curiosity and a sense of discovery and adventure. It's a bit like modern day rouge-archeology (without the boring academic approach). You get to peel behind the curtains and see things in our modern world you are usually not able or supposed to see up close. You can take a trip back in time and often hunt for souvenirs. My mom's boyfriend e.g. loves to raid abandoned bunkers and military installations from the worldwars. Partially out of a fascination for that periode in history and also to add new trophies to his militaria collection or selling them off to other collectors. Minimal safety requirement however is that you never do it alone; only with a group of at least 3. Also you need to have people know where you are headed and how long you plan to stay there at most. And yes that friend-lamp thing 01:01:02 is cheesy as all hell. Luckily we love cheese in this house Cuuuute Would be insane if we managed to set up some remote Runie-Mood-Meter-service-thingy. Literally no idea how feasible that really is. Could be part of your next birthday merch. And if not...there's still Twitter.

Purposely ignoring evidence right in front of her just so that we can have more content? She has the true heart and soul of an entertainer.

Runie, if your lamp lighted on every time a Runatic thought about you, your electricity bill would be too high.
