Interested to see what the xt26 does in 230/240v countries - will they have 32a ceeform cables as well as the standard wall socket cable? Definitely seems more like a generator kind of lamp.
So I guess they forgo the rotating barrel and just went rotating gobo only… hopefully it doesn’t have the blade issue that Andrew pointed out on the Godox projection not fully covering edge-to-edge
Good video but I got into the cob led fixtures mainly to cut down on the weight, size and cabling of my 1.2K hmi fixtures etc. But these fixtures are getting really huge now, for me it defeats the purpose…
Can you clarify on the 600c light. It sounded like he said that the spotlight and the spotlight max fixture could both work on the 600c lights. Can you confirm this?
@@meetthegaffer Thank you. For me the 600c Pro are the biggest lights I have and I just bought the spotlight right before the Max version came out. Glad to know I don't have to buy another one!
Pro tip: a certain down-under vlogger has said that the Nanlite projection mount also works well with the LS600c. My hunch is that the spotlight max is probably a better match for the 600c, but will of course be larger, along with the barrels.
@@meetthegaffer Luke, I seriously don't want to hate Aputure, I use them all the time. It's the over-the-top/hype marketing they do that turns me off. If all these players can start more or less respecting each other and stop being extra flamboyant then in the end we'll have much better products (considering the sheer marketing money that can be put into R&D and service, or even designing a better-looking logo.) Maybe I'm too old.
Wow Aputure absolutely killing it!
Good to see these guys breaking the glass ceiling!
Thanks, great interview very knowable rep.

So excited for the Spotlight max
Brilliant stuff!
good to know Sir. Deakins was at Cinegear
It was like royalty walking through, with everyone asking to take a selfie with him and his wife.

Not being able to rotate the cutters would not be ideal.
@@meetthegaffer yup…

At a certain point, more output will equal more weight and greater size.

Yes, there is short shot with the 600c in use: blue hue and iris with one shutter slightly pushed in.

The future
I have no idea why are they STILL claiming xt26 is 2600w, even on the lamp head it was marked 3800w...
Probably best to wait until the dust clears before getting too wound up about specs that are not yet posted.

@@mikaelwalker3327 LOL. It's not easy being a manufacturer and keeping everyone happy 🤪Don 't get me started on feeling old...
“Limp along”… not sure about this guy’s sales pitch😂
You know what he’s trying say😀 Sales is like stand-up… and not for the faint of heart.
@@meetthegaffer I get it, no alternate takes. Excited to see these in the field, green magenta adjustments are a godsend!
