- Most of cubitus varus was fractured in childhood or was due to congenital deformity.
But you do not have to be depressed.
Cubitus varus is treated with surgery.
After cubitus varus surgery, you can have good alignment and good function of your arms.

I think I have a malunion elbow, when I was 15 I fell down on my right elbow, I had a motorcycle accident.
I couldn't move my elbow for a little while, but then with time it was improving and got way better, but by that time I noticed that my elbow or my arm looks deformed, not too much though and not entirely but it's noticeable (I can't rotate all of it maybe just 70% max and sometimes 90% max if I force rotating it). I can do almost all the movements with my right arm with no issues, sometimes I do hear some cracking sounds when I do a few movements with it though, but anyways, I was not feeling any pain, but lately during these past 3-4 years I start having some mild to severe pain in my right elbow, and it causes me stress too I guess. it's annoying..I wanna get it fixed, my dad is a doctor and he told me the only way you can do it is surgery and breaking a bone is not a good choice because it would never be like it used to be normal.
I went to google and found out that there are two types of treatment a surgical one and a non-surgical one for malunion elbow...is anyone could help me or answer me what should I do? and how I can fix my problem, it hurts..and sometimes I keep feeling it for days and weeks...the pain goes away or reduces to 90% only when I go outside and try to distract myself with something or go for groceries shopping or something like that. but while I'm at home watching TV or gaming or laying in bed it hurts so much. and the pain is more common by that time.
I have a similar problem that was caused by a broken arm at age 4. I have used THC to numb the bones and crack them for over the last 8 years, the result is that I have been able to fix about 80 percent of the damage. I have stayed away from any surgeries for the same reason you stated. Good luck!
@@armanighrissi2964 Update : I found a solution, it's not a miracle like fixing the issue completely but, it's like kind of temporary fix for the pain I had, it's Elbow Brace Compression, I found one on Aliexpress for $3 and I start using it, and the pain goes away, sometimes the pain comes back when I take it off but just for a short period then it disappear for a very long time, now I haven't felt any pain since a long while I don't even use it anymore, only if the pain goes back. It's just amazing. I don't care about surgery, if the pain goes away that's what matters to me. I don't need to risk it and make surgery. I'll stay like that, I'll use it whenever I feel pain, but what impresses me the most now, I haven't used it in like 2 months cuz the pain is completely gone.

During the surgery,I hear that a part of the elbow bone is cut off in order to fit in the surgery procedure, I have to 6 questions
1. Will the cut off part regenerate
2. If it does regenerate ,will it be strong enough to withstand exercise activities,like weight lifting etc
3.how long will it take to be completely healed for exercise activity
4.can you do heavy pull up and push up excercise with affected area , without breaking again
5. If patient has had the injury for over 30years , can he/she still go through a successful surgery and a complete recovery or healing process
6. Can affected area easily dislocate again after surgery and healing process?

Now I have a Cubital Varus( Gunstock Deformity) in my left elbow. To be honest, I have been passing through mental illness for this cosmetic problem. I feel shy in public places. I broke my arm at age 4, and it was never healed properly. During my 20's and 30's I did lots of weight lifting, which caused more damage to my shoulder and other bones. It takes about an hour to perform surgery by anesthesia in the arms and requires a hospital stay for 1~2 weeks .
You can go home after discharge.
Post-operative pain is not severe and you need to put on an arm sling for 2 weeks after surgery.

@@lengthening Thanks for your answers, the only thing that concerned all about these answers is that I can feel them...I hope it's not something...really bad or scary...I don't even know if I can risk it and do such surgery or just live with this pain from time to time...but as you mentioned that the screws don't stay for ever in the elbow...Like we can remove them later after my elbow is completely healed...and then I won't feel them anymore...cuz that's my only concern, If it's safe, I wanna completely remove them if I go through this surgery. I don't want them in my elbow for ever.

Hi. I did the surgery and my hand looks better than before but I have a concern. The right portion of my left hand where the deformity was looks normal, the angle is normal but on the left portion of my left arm, it sort of buldges out. Is it my shape or is it scar tissue formation and post surgery inflammation/swelling that will fade away over time? If so, how long can it take? Thanks.
