Hearing MRAD/milliradians mentioned for the first time by a game developer, and it's not an Arma/Battlefield/COD dev is hilarious. HD2 has literally one of the most realistic terminal ballistics sims of all games and we shoot bugs with it hahaha!
It used to. After they dumbed down the game a lot and gutted all the enemy AP values you have dumb shit like revolvers penetrating thick steel and flames burning what are effectively rock carapaces.

I'm desperately hoping for a stealth warbond at some point with armor that is specifically stealth, a backpack that can cloak you, a suppressed pistol, and manually triggered sticky C4 charges, maybe an AOE stratagem like the shield that cloaks everything within it for 30 seconds or something
I want one so bad… and new scout armors… maybe the booster could be increased damage from stealth? So if you silence your pistol or smg and shoot a bot it does double from stealth? Hmm? Maybe? I hope

@BadgunmusicII I get that. I used to be very much into sweaty BFBC2 BF3 and BF4. WZ1 was AMAZING for the gunsmith, and I loved my 458 & 93r custom loadout. This game scratches an itch where I know I don't have to deal with toxicity, RP is welcomed, and play styles can be tailored across 3 enemies. It's as sweaty as you want it to be, and at a lower difficulty the only meta is "fun"! It's amazing.
I just want you guys to know how easy it felt to listen to this. Not to mention the well done visual examples and text editing to keep things organized! Im sure the real patch notes are way bigger but having a video like this that feels simple, focused on the bigs changes while explaining things casuals may not understand and feels like a conversation between two guys that just love Helldivers and not just two guys reading patch notes. I love it!

Arrowhead has yet to prove thmselves after their first year was already filled with controversy, and the first year is the easiest part of any live service games life.

Everyone was super hard on the open worlds, railjack and content islands for years because they tried to Overdeliver on promises especially at those times and tried to make warframe diffrent things. All of those systems and places are MUCH MUCH better now because they've started interconnecting,balancing and QOL-ING those areas of the game for 3 years. I don't think arrowhead under deliver because they don't even say what they are working on half the time😂. That's the design Choice of the galactic war though! Surprises are the only way you can do things to keep it interesting. And I'm fine with it, they seem to have worked out a good balance between player power and difficulty at this point.

I think the gunplay in HD2 is very unique, which is important when there's so many other shooters around. I remember when I first started and I was hipfiring a Stalwart waiting for the Pelican to arrive, swaying the crosshair from bug to bug and getting the hang of it to the point where I felt unstoppable, not because the gun was OP, but because I was in the zone and it became an extension of me.

This is huge, weapon customization along with the progression, makes it that every new weapon has something to progress towards to, and now they can balance it in a way nicer way. HUGE
I just really, REALLY hope this gets expanded to secondaries sooner rather than later, because they need it most of all. 90% of the reason why the Ultimatum was so popular was that it was like the only secondary that actually added something unique to a loadout, while the rest are just bad versions of primaries (And like 1/3 are also just worse versions of _other secondaries_).

Firefighter mains and burn sickle mains had their moment to really shine in this situation with the fireproof armors, especially those like me who already owned Salamander armor, the premium heavy armor with insulation trait
@jhalilxvii people *really* hated fighting them because they got set on fire literally all the time. And if you got caught close range, the shotgun/shield devastators would just annihilate you. And for people who didn't have the freedoms flame warbond or bought the salamander/firefighter armor from super store they were screwed.
I had completely forgotten that many laser weapons had the "heat" effect, since the burning damage wasn't great. This sounds very useful - thanks for pointing it out
One of the most ammoying traits about the Incineration Corps was how easy the Conflagration Devastators were able to set you on fire - even 1 stray pellet was enough to ruin your day.
First thing I tested was the Eruptor. It’s the best it’s ever felt. Right down to not having to pull the bolt after the final round. You guys definitely nailed it. Thank you.
I would love an option to "show full stats block" on weapons. I would also love to see a shooting range at the DSS for experimentation, especially if we get to have the stat blocks for the enemies with all the details.
Agreed, I was hyped to unlock it back when that warbond came out and was immediately disappointed, I wanted that little SMG to be so much more and we’re finally here.

Exactly, switching from spread accuracy chance to sway you can actually use the skill of a player’s aim to make use of the new sway accuracy to mitigate and like they said pre-read the inaccuracy of your weapon to line up your shots, it’s how it actually should be and I’m happy about it.
Obviously the devs have something else in mind, but I was really hoping fire could get more utility against the Automantons. I was hoping for something like an overheating mechanic. Where, setting a bot on fire would do little damage, but maybe fill a “heat” bar, that, if reached a certain threshold (let’s say 70%) could stun the bots till they cool down. And if the bar filled completely they’d just explode or melt or whatever.
I like how they explained centimetres for the 3 countries in the world that don't use them even though 2 of those countries probably don't have access to PSN.
It makes sense but God damn it hurts. One mission there were 2 jammers close by so I just lob 2 ultimatum and done, otherwise I would have to clear each before getting hellbomb down. I was hoping it would at least give us one more ammo in the pocket in exchange for reduce firepower.

It's annoying but also kind of a good problem to have, when you think about it. The HD2 community is so huge and excited about the game, that there's money to be made even with low-effort clickbait garbage.
They are more accurate, it's just that you have sway while moving. The bullet wouldn't spread from where you shoot it- but it's harder to get it to shoot where you want in stressful situations.
6.1gb its a decent update chunk, then it has to allocate into the rest of the 80gb game, taking me like 15-20 minutes with decent internet which would take less than 8...
I love the Tenderizer and hope one day we get weapon magazine attachments to modify. For instance, 60 round drum mags would be tons of fun like a mini stalwart

14:32 please look into adding 2-3 smaller bug holes surrounding a bile titan hole to be able to destroy the bile titan hole. The reason being is sometimes mega bug nests have towering structures surrounding the bile titan hole which causes either a precision strike or a 500kg bomb from detonating on terrain rather than the titan hole, due to positioning of the super destroyer/angle of eagle call in. The reason why I time stamped the ultimatum was because it was my preferred method of taking out bile titan holes given the inconsistency of those two strategems. My proposed fix allows you to keep the changes to the ultimatum while giving the bile titan hole an identity compared to either automaton fabs and illuminte landed ships, where you have to destroy multiple bug holes cuasing the main bile titan hole to explode too.
It'd be nice to be able to throw a couple bundles of dynamite on it to collapse it, like you would be able to in real life. They could also add a healthbar to it like with fabricators or landed saucers.
We eating good tonight boys, just in case devs read this, 2 bugs that I still would like fixed is the bug where outposts won’t register as destroyed and you won’t get the xp for them, and the consistent bug with the high value assets (terminid egg, bot head) where for everyone else its still at its spawn location, Ive had to carry that across the map 3 times in a mission cuz teammates kept picking it up, just letting my grievances be known
I'm honestly (as always) amaized with this game and its details. I'm glad that some things been fixed, same as a lot of things is being improved in a good way. I also want to give a props for fixing (mostly) a very annoying audio bug that caused a lot of stuttering- this really threw me off playing this game for a good time - now there's just minor audio cuts that appears from time to time, but I can live with that. I really hope to see more attachments for our weapons in the future, especially around the ammo types that we could use (at least on a few weapons) - like for ex. A dum-dum ammo for Breaker Spray n Pray, which would change it and make it different compared to regular breaker. Also crazy idea, but I'd really love to see a full battlefield experience in this game with fully working First Person POV (all the time, not just during aiming). And for sure, a lot of Helldivers would love to see a Minigun Stratagem/Backpack/Weapon for extra tactics and spread of democracy :)
Nah @@Peagaporto, it kinda makes sense from their perspective. We love it cus it makes something convenient, but they want the jammers and such to NOT be trivialized by it, they want to maintain those as challenges. It sucks, but it does make sense from their angle.
@@DropDownBear It doesnt because any challenge can be trivialized with the right loadout. Hulks get trivialized by thermites, etc. Its a weapon that is not that useful outside of that niche it waas doing.
Bro. The way they look they just look like they enjoy their game. I love how usually things like these are super proper and super scripted meanwhile Helldivers they still are professional and mainly scripted but they also literally talk to each other and it feels so real.
The difference between developers making a game for the sake of fun versus a AAA studio that only sees their players as piggy banks nothing more. I’ve farmed warbonds dont get me wrong, but HD2 is about the only game i will consciously try and purchase what i can when i can because they earned it in my book. Its never been a “spend money to enjoy the game” experience like destiny 2, or so many others, its a “enjoy the game firstly, and then spend money (optional)”

@@Always.Smarter i feel like i made a point to mention Destiny 2, which also had a box price, and then they swapped to “live service” and charge $100 every year to even enjoy the game or literally any genuinely new content not just re-cycled stuff from D1. D2 also has no “campaign” unless you pay for the seasonal story. You can buy the large DLC packs but those also cost each just as much as HD2 on launch if not more, and there’s maybe 2 that still exist if not vaulted that are MAYBE worth what they’re asking.

Love this! This humanizes the devs and helps us to understand a bit of the process in this game. It helps us to see the juggling involved and the decisions that have to be made.
My spartan build will be even more powerful. (By the way, unless they fixed it, if you stab you regen stamia faster 2x as fast, great for traversing long distances with the heavy armor variant. You can see for yourself if they fixed this or not). Every melee main should know this

It was stupid how the strayest of strays would kill you if you were even grazed and slightly low, you would just get set on fire at random sometimes

One of the most ammoying traits about the Incineration Corps was how easy the Conflagration Devastators were able to set you on fire - even 1 stray pellet was enough to ruin your day.
First thing I tested was the Eruptor. It’s the best it’s ever felt. Right down to not having to pull the bolt after the final round. You guys definitely nailed it. Thank you.

I would also love to see a shooting range at the DSS for experimentation, especially if we get to have the stat blocks for the enemies with all the details.

2:27 reprimand buff is huge. Makes the weapon actually playable and very very good especially if you can up its ammo count
Exactly, switching from spread accuracy chance to sway you can actually use the skill of a player’s aim to make use of the new sway accuracy to mitigate and like they said pre-read the inaccuracy of your weapon to line up your shots, it’s how it actually should be and I’m happy about it.

Obviously the devs have something else in mind, but I was really hoping fire could get more utility against the Automantons.
I was hoping for something like an overheating mechanic. Where, setting a bot on fire would do little damage, but maybe fill a “heat” bar, that, if reached a certain threshold (let’s say 70%) could stun the bots till they cool down. And if the bar filled completely they’d just explode or melt or whatever.
I like how they explained centimetres for the 3 countries in the world that don't use them even though 2 of those countries probably don't have access to PSN.
And the only country in question, operates in FREEDOM UNITS. 🇺🇸

It makes sense but God damn it hurts. One mission there were 2 jammers close by so I just lob 2 ultimatum and done, otherwise I would have to clear each before getting hellbomb down. I was hoping it would at least give us one more ammo in the pocket in exchange for reduce firepower.

That accuracy thing with pistols explains the difficulty I've had with shooting down shriekers with my sidearm!!!
They are more accurate, it's just that you have sway while moving. The bullet wouldn't spread from where you shoot it- but it's harder to get it to shoot where you want in stressful situations.

My pants weren't ready
14:32 please look into adding 2-3 smaller bug holes surrounding a bile titan hole to be able to destroy the bile titan hole. The reason being is sometimes mega bug nests have towering structures surrounding the bile titan hole which causes either a precision strike or a 500kg bomb from detonating on terrain rather than the titan hole, due to positioning of the super destroyer/angle of eagle call in. The reason why I time stamped the ultimatum was because it was my preferred method of taking out bile titan holes given the inconsistency of those two strategems. My proposed fix allows you to keep the changes to the ultimatum while giving the bile titan hole an identity compared to either automaton fabs and illuminte landed ships, where you have to destroy multiple bug holes cuasing the main bile titan hole to explode too.
It'd be nice to be able to throw a couple bundles of dynamite on it to collapse it, like you would be able to in real life. They could also add a healthbar to it like with fabricators or landed saucers.

We eating good tonight boys, just in case devs read this, 2 bugs that I still would like fixed is the bug where outposts won’t register as destroyed and you won’t get the xp for them, and the consistent bug with the high value assets (terminid egg, bot head) where for everyone else its still at its spawn location, Ive had to carry that across the map 3 times in a mission cuz teammates kept picking it up, just letting my grievances be known
I think the HVA thing is a known issue? "Map icons for carryable objectives don't follow the objective and stay at their original location."

I'm honestly (as always) amaized with this game and its details. I'm glad that some things been fixed, same as a lot of things is being improved in a good way. I also want to give a props for fixing (mostly) a very annoying audio bug that caused a lot of stuttering- this really threw me off playing this game for a good time - now there's just minor audio cuts that appears from time to time, but I can live with that.
I really hope to see more attachments for our weapons in the future, especially around the ammo types that we could use (at least on a few weapons) - like for ex. A dum-dum ammo for Breaker Spray n Pray, which would change it and make it different compared to regular breaker. Also crazy idea, but I'd really love to see a full battlefield experience in this game with fully working First Person POV (all the time, not just during aiming). And for sure, a lot of Helldivers would love to see a Minigun Stratagem/Backpack/Weapon for extra tactics and spread of democracy :)

Nah @@Peagaporto, it kinda makes sense from their perspective. We love it cus it makes something convenient, but they want the jammers and such to NOT be trivialized by it, they want to maintain those as challenges. It sucks, but it does make sense from their angle.
@@DropDownBear It doesnt because any challenge can be trivialized with the right loadout. Hulks get trivialized by thermites, etc. Its a weapon that is not that useful outside of that niche it waas doing.
To be honest it was indeed a bit broken. Now its more like a pocket 500KG against enemy groups instead a bunker buster.

I love how usually things like these are super proper and super scripted meanwhile Helldivers they still are professional and mainly scripted but they also literally talk to each other and it feels so real.
The difference between developers making a game for the sake of fun versus a AAA studio that only sees their players as piggy banks nothing more.
I’ve farmed warbonds dont get me wrong, but HD2 is about the only game i will consciously try and purchase what i can when i can because they earned it in my book. Its never been a “spend money to enjoy the game” experience like destiny 2, or so many others, its a “enjoy the game firstly, and then spend money (optional)”

@@Always.Smarter i feel like i made a point to mention Destiny 2, which also had a box price, and then they swapped to “live service” and charge $100 every year to even enjoy the game or literally any genuinely new content not just re-cycled stuff from D1.
D2 also has no “campaign” unless you pay for the seasonal story. You can buy the large DLC packs but those also cost each just as much as HD2 on launch if not more, and there’s maybe 2 that still exist if not vaulted that are MAYBE worth what they’re asking.

Love this! This humanizes the devs and helps us to understand a bit of the process in this game. It helps us to see the juggling involved and the decisions that have to be made.

My spartan build will be even more powerful. (By the way, unless they fixed it, if you stab you regen stamia faster 2x as fast, great for traversing long distances with the heavy armor variant. You can see for yourself if they fixed this or not). Every melee main should know this
