YES! Please do a networking video! Do you think you could also talk about the CP classes? Is it easier to network and get to know people if you take a class or two? Because I'll be a lifeguard and I'm not sure if there will really be that kind of opportunity if I DON'T take a class... If that makes sense lol like the pors and cons of networking if you do or don't take any of the offered classes!
THANK YOU for this video Olivia!!!! I have a few more semesters left in school, but this is super helpful. I am soooooo happy and proud of you for getting the PI!!!!
Thank you so much for doing this video!!!!! You hear so much about the DCP and barely anything about the DPI. please do a video on networking! For someone who wants to base her entire career in Disney, and not just do a college program, it would be super helpful.
Thanks for doing this Olivia! Just a comment for your viewers, as a 29 year old "young professional:" a lot of this advice is actually pretty applicable for ANY job, especially "big kid" first job after college jobs, not just Disney PI. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to more park videos!
Thank you for this informative video. Please do a video about networking (meet and greets) and also a video about Disney classes offered in the Disney college program.
congrats on your PI! I would love to see a video about networking! I'm on the program now and have been struggling to set up meet and greets and would love some advice :)
Great video about the application process Olivia. I know when I was doing my research there wasn't a lot of videos about the professional internship programs offered and how the process works. I accepted a Lodging Management Internship at Grand Floridian! Congrats on your offer!
Thaaaaaaaaank you! You're pretty and you seem really nice! I love how most of the people I've seen in these types of video (Disney students/etc) seem to be genuinely good people. I could be wrong but yeah. lol You gave so many tips I didn't expect, about getting a job in general and I feel embarrassed I'm probably half a decade older than you! :C
Thanks so much for making this! My goal at the end of college is to get a PI, and I have been looking up a lot of these videos to start making sure I have the experience I need to in order to apply! LOVE your videos BTW
Thank you for all of your advice olivia! Seriously this has helped me to know what to focus on for the application process. Have you made a networking video yet? That would be extremely helpful too!
Thank you for the tip! This has definitely made me want to polish my resume since you mention they look at it in seven seconds which is a short time. I do have a lot of experience but I definitely have to narrow down and make it short.
Thank You for the best information I have heard so far on any DCP program. Yes continue to get more information to give us a better understanding of what we will face and need to do. I am also telling this on April 29th to which l know is your birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOPE YOU HAVE An AMAZING DAY.
I would love to see a video on networking in the Disney College Program! I haven't been able to find many videos about it at all and would love to hear tips/advice from you!
Good luck, Liv. FYI:If you plan to visit Epcot, I hear that Disney vlogger, Ellie Steadman, is moving to Orlando for a year. And, she'll be working in the U.K. Pavilion. That's what I heard anyway.
I got denied from 14 different positions that I applied to. It's demoralizing and honestly, it sucks. A lot. I don't know what to do to get an internship here.
wow! so many great tips! I didn't realize how many steps there were compared to the DCP! Thanks for making this video!! Also, do you know how the housing situation works? Can participants stay in CP housing and do Transtar busses take you to your job location? thanks!
Hi, I was wondering if you have met any Canadian DPIs. I am interested in the program but I can't pass the computer screening because I don't have authorization to work in the US. I know this is required but Canadians can work other US internships by getting Visas didn't know if there is a work around. Many Thanks
Hi Luke! I do know a Canadian PI, but she has dual citizenship. I would contact Disney Casting and see what the options are around Visas for Professional Interns. I would also look in the Cultural Representative Program and International College Program :)
Hey there, thank you so much for this video. I know this was published two years ago but I’m an incoming first year university student this fall and thinking of applying this summer for their Cultural Exchange Program (I’m from Canada) in summer 2021 at WDW. Well, it’s not DCP but hopefully I can take Disney classes too. Like what you said, if I do get in, can I ask someone to job shadow them, probably an accounting intern, when I’m on my day off? It’s a 2-3 month program and I want to get the best out of it. Also, have you heard of the rotational accounting internship? I hope you don’t mind answering these questions. Thanks
I’d love to see a networking video, as well. I’m actually having a meet-and-greet later on this month! Any suggestions? Also, do you think recommendation letters are necessary when applying for a professional internship with Disney?
Hey girl!! For your resume, did you use just the simple black and white template or did yours have a little color and flare? :) I've heard for creative positions that you want ones with flare, but since you got 7 interviews (!!!), I thought I'd ask! Thanks so much!!
Should your portfolio be as tailored as your resume? I'm a communications major applying for multiple communication roles (but haven't had an internship so I only really have school and personal work) just wondering if you had any further tips on that!
I am so glad I found this video! I'm currently preparing to apply to many Disney Professional Internships and I am so excited but also so nervous! Any tips for someone networking for someone who is not able to schedule meet and greets in person? (I'm currently in Kentucky). Thanks!
Hey Olivia! Hope you are doing well!! I just accepted a PI, and I wanted to know to do go about getting a full time job with the company after the internship :)
Please do make a networking video! I'm headed for a College Program in January, and I hope to network while I am there for applying for Professional Internships down the road =]
I would love to be a character but it's probably very hard to get that as your job. I plan on becoming a marine biologist or zoologist so I'd LOVE to work at animal kingdom with the animals, that would be incredible
Olivia, my dream is to do the college program when I get into college, the only thing is I am in a wheelchair. Do you know anyone who works or has done the college program in a wheelchair?
Hi Mattea! That's totally fine! Disney is incredibly accommodating to everyone. There are cast members in wheelchairs! I actually worked with a girl who was deaf, so they just gave her an ipad and she was an excellent cast member. I also was in a wheelchair for part of my program and I was fine :) You absolutely can do it!

Thanks to your video, I not only started dreaming about becoming a PI but that dream is coming true! I'll be a cast member in Orlando in June!
Please do a networking video!!! I really want those tops before my program!
I'd love a networking video! It is so hard to find Professional Internship RUclips videos, so thank you for making this!
Great video about the application process Olivia. I know when I was doing my research there wasn't a lot of videos about the professional internship programs offered and how the process works. I accepted a Lodging Management Internship at Grand Floridian! Congrats on your offer!

Olivia, you are a very special, magical unicorn with psychic powers. 🦄❤🌈
Did you network during your DCP? Also, were you offered more than one internship or were you offered only the Disney University one? Thanks!
Do a networking video please! I leave in September and want to make the most of my time!
Do you also have a link to your Wix site? I'd love to see it!
Yes please have a video on networking with Disney

Hello Macie Lynn! I did not have color on mine :)
also can you do a video about housing for the PI and how to find a place and roommates. The PI doesn't provide housing right?
PLEASE do the networking video! I'm on my program now just starting to network and really need tips!!!!
Should your portfolio be as tailored as your resume? I'm a communications major applying for multiple communication roles (but haven't had an internship so I only really have school and personal work) just wondering if you had any further tips on that!
Olivia! How long do you have to accept the position once they offer?? Especially if you are offered more than one!
Please please please make a networking video!!
Thank you for this video! Can you please do the networking video too??
What are you doing now? Are you still interning or do have a full time position with Disney?
