Since a lot of people are wondering why they have never seen many of the star arrangements, it’s because there wasn’t an official arrangement until 1912. So before that, people could organize the stars however they wanted just as long as there were the correct amount of stars

My grandfather bought one. I remember being a little in the mid 90s and finding that flag. I looked at it for a few moments kinda confused. Then I counted the stars. That really confused me!
They're probably more valuable than other flags due to their novelty and relative scarcity.

Free Cards Giveaway It was a flag created by Christopher Gadsden. I think a general at the time. He was also a leader for the sons of liberty in South Carolina and represented South Carolina in Philidelphia. It was actually a Military flag but nonetheless, a great flag with alot of meaning.

I remember being taught in school a version of the DONT TREAD ON ME flag where the shake was separated into pieces (i think 13?) Although the snake was still vicious looking. I remember the teacher saying that the change from the more known solid snake on flag (hehe solid snake) to a segmented snake was to indicated how the nation wasn't truly unified but was nonetheless apart of the same body and is ready to fight anyone who "walks" on him metaphorically.
Either i gotta do more digging online or this is some kind of false memory. Maybe the teacher was just wrong. Idk

on July 4th, 1960, I was 8 years old and I distinctly remember the adults in the family saying we needed to get a new 50-star flag because Alaska and Hawaii had just become states. I remember our old 48-star flag being in the house for many years after that but I have no idea which brother or sister ended up with it.

i think that used to be the british red ensign but then the canton they put the stripes to represent the colonies' self rule
Red and white strips flag is a original flag of Srivijaya 6th century (Malays) and Majapahit 12th century(Javanese) empire flag. And what are now located in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Southern Thailand and Brunei.
British East India Company influenced by this empire flag in 16-18th century when they came to Malay Archipelago.
Until now Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore used this red and white strips as national flag

In a few years we might be adding 2 more states/stars. Puerto Rico is voting on a binding referendum (unlike 2012's nonbinding vote) to apply for statehood. And if Canada's Trudeau wins in 2019, Alberta will do an Albexit and possibly join the USA.
Buddha Palm It's kind of a long story but it involves the election of Trudeau and the use of Alberta's oil money to fund Quebec and Ontario's social services. Albertans are heavily anti-Trudeau and anti-Eastern Canada hence the formation of the Wildrose party which favors secession.
Buddha Palm It's a somewhat remote possibility since Alberta is considered to be the province that has more in common with American values than Canadian values, whatever those are. Unlike in Canada, it's illegal for US states to become independent. We had a bloody civil war when the south tried to get smart with the Union and got severely punished for it. Protecting the country and the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic is part of the oath of office after all.

There is Debate over whether or not Betsy Ross created the first USA as a country flag or who did the style with the circle and considered as more accurate that the Frances Hopkins was actually made by him as this is the year the official flag. The number of stripes changed with the number of states that the USA had until the 15th state as those in congress realized if they kept adding stripes as well as stars the USA would have this monstrous size flag, so they decided to go with the first 13 colonies that became the USA but only after a rather long debate, over keeping it at 15 or going back to 13 original in federal congress.
