The 48 🌟 flag is such a solid design. Mainly because the stars are all perfectly aligned. But nothing beats the Betsy Ross.

Since a lot of people are wondering why they have never seen many of the star arrangements, it’s because there wasn’t an official arrangement until 1912. So before that, people could organize the stars however they wanted just as long as there were the correct amount of stars

This is really interesting cause school really only teaches you three variations of our flag: the “Don’t tread on me”, the Betty Ross and the 50 stars one. This is probably the first time I’ve ever seen majority of these

My school never even taught me the don’t tread on me flag. They sure did a good job of keeping us ignorant, I’m assuming they never taught it because it’s a public school in California.

The history of the Stars and Stripes goes back to at least the 13th century. Check out the Washington family coat of arms. And then the coat of arms of the town of Washington in the North of England. Three stars above horizontal stripes was carved into the wall of Washington’s medieval church in the 13th century. It may even be older.

    Lyrics for Early Americans:
    O say can you see
    By the dawn's early light
    What so proudly we hailed
    At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
    Through the perilous fight
    O'er the ramparts we watched
    Were so gallantly streaming?
    And the rocket's red glare
    The bombs bursting in air
    Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
O say does that star spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave?

    JUST FUN FACTS :)
The red white stripes in the US flag is from the flag of Majapahit Empire in Southeast Asia. It is bcoz the flag of Majapahit Empire is so well known when sailing.. the British East India Company have copied the flag so that they can sail much easier and safer, but they added the Union Jack in it. And therfore, the US flag was created with the Majapahit flag in it.

I don’t know why this video makes me so angry. Almost every single one of these flags we’re never US flags. Do not use this for actual history purposes. The images they used are cited mostly from only one shady online source. The “Indian Peace flag” was never even a flag, ever.... it was a postage stamp. If you want the truth, the US flag has been a stars arranged in a rectangle with 13 red and white strips since the American revolution.

Its direct descendent is the flag of the British east india company, George Washington.. 'While the field of your flag must be new in the details of its design, it need not be entirely new in its elements. There is already in use a flag, I refer to the flag of the East India Company."

0:11 the 1775 flag of US was also the flag of malaysia during the British rule of east indian. They might have the same history of flag that’s why they have similar design of flag today.
