One of the first things Angelina said in front of a camera when she was 7, when asked what she wanted in life, was that she wanted to be a superstar. So while she definitely is working to preserve her style and personality, she absolutely wants to carve herself a place among mainstream artists.

Her career won’t explode until she goes overseas to Europe, Brazil and Australia, where she is much better known than in the US. I live here and the American public at this point still has no idea who she is. Her show last night, Sept 20th, which was unbelievable, with only the orchestra section open for ticket sales (5-700 seats?) wasn’t even sold out! This was criminal and due to horrible promotion by her management. Same thing happened in Vegas. It seems like they’re trying to keep her from becoming successful! Jimmy Z and Toby Gad performed with her and she did a duet with Scott Hoying with Toby on the keyboards that was beyond amazing and got a standing ovation.
She doesnt seem to want to go to Europe, for some weird reason. If she wanted to, she would have done some smaller concerts in Europe too. I mean, she is hardly in Norway. She seems to be too hung up in the Hollywood celebrity life and I am afraid she will get swallowed (her mom and the family also seem to love that lifestyle). She should focus on trying to reach a wider public (also younger people). I hope her label will promote her better and let her perform in big award shows, sports event etc just to open the doors for a younger crowd. Maybe even try push for her to perform a song in a big movie or be a guest at some of the bigger talk shows where she can perform some of her originals, like Bad Valentine.. Now, it seems like she is happy performing in small venues with an older audience, and her label doesnt exactly help her…. She is 18 (almost 19) and have been singing for 10 years now, so the younger people should have been noticing her by now….
@@In_my_own_mind I don’t know how many times I have to say this. Recording Companies DON’T promote their artists. That’s up to the artist, their agent, management team and publicity firm. All recording companies do is produce and distribute the music! The artist pays for the cost of the tour, not the recording company. As far as going overseas, if they have the funds, I guarantee you that’s where her next concert will be, probably in Norway. If she takes this band and backup singers, which she probably will so she doesn’t have to spend weeks rehearsing with a whole new group of people, it’s going to be a very expensive proposition, so the concerts need to sell out, which they will over there, and they won’t in the US. Jordan would sing to an empty theater, I truly believe she doesn’t really care how many people show up for her, she’s so humble she just wants to sing for her fans, no matter how many are there. She’s a true unicorn among the human race!
