Literally my biggest headcanons has come to life I've always seen the two of them just speaking in their language and confusing everyone And the fact ink knows it too makes so much sense cuz he would add spice to everything
The part about Ink knowing it is the one that depend on the headcanon/interpretation the most and may relate a few things : 1. Ink only knows the language his creator (Comyet) knows how to speak. Which, from what I remember Comyet knows : English (obviously), French and Japaness. But she also had a moment she explicitly said she didn't know Spanish, because somebody asked her to write something in ES, which she didn't know what it stood for and asked if it was spanish and added if so, she doesn't know the language, so couldn't translate, like she did with the ones she speaks. 2. Ink knows every single language in the world, maybe including long lost forgotten ones, because of his job. (Since a creator could speak any language, so he has this like universal translator ability stuck in his head to help him assit us) 3. Ink, despite his bad memory ,made the active effort to learn some other languages, either because he knew he would met someone who could speak it (for example with Spanish, looking at : Cross, Dream and Nightmare) so he decided to prepare in advance. 4. He learned because he watches Undernovela with Error. (possibly even to spoil Error, depending on your flavor of story) 5. He learned specifically for this kind of occasion. 6. Cross taught him spanish as they are friends. (if it was Dream, he would have also taught Blue)
