Black Bear on Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.

While driving over the Shenandoah Mountains on Rt 211, something told me to get my camera all cued up, which I did. Within seconds of cleaning my windshield I saw a baby black bear walking in my lane up ahead of my vehicle. I slowed down my truck to a crawl and signaled another motorist in the oncoming lane as a warning. As I slowly drove up my lane, the bear jogged to the guard rail, pulled himself up by his front legs and stood there for a bit as our eyes locked. It was truly an amazing moment. Then he jumped over the railing to safety. It was the first time I ever have seen a bear in the wild.
