To this, Sage Vishwamitra and Sage Vashistha who both were omniscient (trikaldarshi) said that they are made for each other and should get married. If they were not made for each other then Ram would never have lifted-broken the bow of Lord Shiva. Then, it was suggested by Sage Vashistha that both should get married in Uttaraphalguni nakshatra which gives prosperous marriage. All agreed to it. But Indra and other gods dint want the marriage to prosperous because then Ram and Sita will not step out from Ayodhya and Ravana will never be killed. So, to achieve this they sent Lord Chandra disguised as a beautiful dancer to their marriage to deceive everyone and let the Uttaraphalguni nakshatra pass. Same happened and marriage dint succeed.
