Those were all Reid's play designs, and 85% his play calling, 5% was compromise, 5% Nagy, 5% audible out in formation by QB. If Pace wants to save his job, he'd fire Nagy now, and put Pagano at HC.
I still don't see how you can say that Mitch doesn't have it. The evidence is piling up that Nagy is not coaching anybody. Everyone on the offense are often confused on assignments, and there are way too many undisciplined moments that hurt the team. Trubisky is just one of the many on the team that is not getting the needed coaching. Maybe he is good, maybe not. I just don't believe you can fairly judge him based on the dumpster fire around him.
@Mike Knight Yeah. This is a serious situation of the "chicken and egg" argument. Is Mitch bad because of play calling/design, OLine and receiver struggles, and/or lack of coaching? Is Nagy's play calling bad because Mitch's inability to throw accurately or read defenses? Is the offense able to digest and execute Nagy's extensive playbook? My take is that it is probably a combination of all those things. But the issues the team is facing outside of the QB/HC debate is what makes me lean more heavily toward Nagy's shortcomings. They are simply lacking fundamentals and are incredibly undisciplined. All those issues point directly to the HC.

I think despite the anger of the fan base, that it's still too early to tell what the fate of Trubisky and Nagy will be - because it is tied to Ryan Pace. I'm hoping that the Mccaskey's are already looking for replacements, be it through back channels and general hearings.

Matt Nagy isn't really the problem...he is calling plays for a back up Quarterback that he didn't draft, that can't read defensive coverages, is mechanically subpar and an Offensive line that can't produce a 100 yard rusher if they're lives depended on it. They can't run they can't throw....It doesn't matter what plays you call.
I said the same thing about Trestman and Nagy after the Raiders game. A One hit wonder made who our offense look good then next year goes into a tail spin.
The only thing I see wrong with Matt Nagy is his questionable running plays he draws up, and his game management in close situations. To be fair, he does call good pass plays, maybe he's had to dumb down his play calling to suit mitchs lack of will to throw the ball more than 10 yards consistently? The offense seems to run much better when chase is in, and though chase is a good backup, I don't believe he's the answer either. I think it's all on mitchs affinity towards throwing to the check down way too soon, going through his progressions way too fast and panicking, and them not making use of his legs and ability to extend the play enough.

Gould I agree with. Wasn't happy about getting rid of Howard but it's understandable considering how bad he was as a receiving back. But he wouldn't be running worth shit this season either. The line is not getting any push whatsoever. Unless you're Barry Sanders, you're not doing shit on this team.

In one defense of Nagy. He did not build this team, and had little input until the decision to send Jordan Howard packing. He didn't draft Mitch. At Kansas City he also thought Mahomes was the QB to get. Nagy didn't draft Kevin White or Leonard Floyd, and Nagy didn't sign useless Trey Burton for $58 M. Nor did he sign Shaheen.
The Bears and Lions are literally going through the exact same head coaching crap. Nagy was supposed to be a offensive gem who learned from Reid, while Patricia was supposed to be a defensive genius who learned from Belichick. Year two for both coaches and Nagy's offense is garbage and only gotten worse from year one, while Patricia's defense in non-existent and only gotten worse from year one. The Bears are biggest joke of the NFC North this year based on exceptions, while the Lions are the long lasting joke that always gets a laugh from the rest of the division/league. If the Bears decide to move on from Trubisky and Nagy, I don't see how you can possibly justify Ryan Pace still having a job. I think despite the anger of the fan base, that it's still too early to tell what the fate of Trubisky and Nagy will be - because it is tied to Ryan Pace.

I’m just so glad someone else sees that the real problem is Nagy. I said that from the beginning that his play calling is atrocious. I’m not done on Mitch tho. When Mitch throws the ball downfield he is much better. I give Mitch a C+ considering what he has as a play caller. Mitch’s footwork is awful and that is his biggest problem. If he can figure out his footwork in offseason he has what it takes.

Matt Nagy isn't really the problem...he is calling plays for a back up Quarterback that he didn't draft, that can't read defensive coverages, is mechanically subpar and an Offensive line that can't produce a 100 yard rusher if they're lives depended on it. They can't run they can't throw....It doesn't matter what plays you call.
I said the same thing about Trestman and Nagy after the Raiders game. A One hit wonder made who our offense look good then next year goes into a tail spin.
The only thing I see wrong with Matt Nagy is his questionable running plays he draws up, and his game management in close situations. To be fair, he does call good pass plays, maybe he's had to dumb down his play calling to suit mitchs lack of will to throw the ball more than 10 yards consistently? The offense seems to run much better when chase is in, and though chase is a good backup, I don't believe he's the answer either. I think it's all on mitchs affinity towards throwing to the check down way too soon, going through his progressions way too fast and panicking, and them not making use of his legs and ability to extend the play enough.

Mitch was better last year Nagy has pushed him in the wrong direction and the play calling is absolutely horrible. This year Mitch don’t run around like he did last year where it opened more players and he’s a threat when he runs. Nagy has hurt his ability of what he could become.
