Apart from Marcelo, I can't think of anyone else out there who publishes or allows to be published their rolls online as much as keenan and Craig Jones. Both good and bad. There are others who publish some stuff on their websites, but only rolls on which they dominate at all times.
@@6laka. how do you define flow?? flow is giving each other positions and going thru transitions. this is more of a light spar, neither guy wants to give up position, and each one is fighting for an advantage and the finish
@@timtaylor9590 flow is still doing everything right and not sacrificing without using strength or intensity in my opinion. Keenan has a video on the topic.
@@timtaylor9590 i mean that just sounds like drilling. like side control drills. rolling from a bad and good position. in my estimation flow rolling is using as little strength as possible and maximum technique to secure a victory. you are still rolling. like we see these two legends do.
He got out of a lot of foot locks if he does this a couple of months with Craig Jones and he’ll be able to get out of all of them, Craig Jones will make his game get way better
With Craig's constant leg attacks you have to penetrate his guard head first, no knee slices they just expose your legs. Pressure pass , over under , body lock pass or double under pass. You gotta control his hips somehow get a lock around those hips otherwise you will be fighting his leg intactlement all night. Just remember to protect your neck and arms from chokes and kimura
This is not a flow roll. It's what pace looks like. This is how you roll for an hour or two straight. At no point are these guys giving up position or submission out of "flow rolling" it's just tempo
I generally don’t consider it flow rolling if either of us has to tap. Awesome footage though. Keenan seems to get some quality training in with everyone.
Donovan Chandler it was a friendly light roll. Keenan tapped to a bad position before it got to an even worse position (I asked Craig, there was no sub at the moment keenan tapped)
Well to be fair King G got put in a finisher first against craig he just wasnt a good sport ane refused to tap but a win is a win i still see craig as one of the best though
To be honest, Leglocks are good. However, if you just sit without even trying to clinch and drag your opponent down to the ground and buttshoot to go for leglocks, your game is not a good representative of Jiu jitsu. I am sure all games change in a way however, Jiu jitsu is a martial art first. It got its fame because it was one of the most practical martial arts in the world. Please do not tell me those guys would anyways leglock and kill average joes within a min on the street. Yes, obviously. But would they be easily able to defeat good sized guys with good wrestling skills on the street? it would be not that easy. If you are are a grappler, pure grappler, at least you should be really good at takedowns too. I have no problem with attempting leglocks when you are on the bottom however, Jiu jitsu should be more about getting a better position every single time because when punches and kicks and possibly any possible devastating moves like headbutt, eyepoking and biting. People say point system is boring but i think sub only is not as good as point system when it comes to getting a better position against your opponent. Therefore, I doubt sub only is that much practical and Jiu jitsu was all about being practical at the beginning.
they are flowing, trying out some stuff. The recent competition results show no one is successful without a well rounded game, which both of these guys have.
John2corner leglocks are incredible for transitioning to a dominant position on someone you can't take down or pass... They are made for exactly the scenario you describe
fuck this if u can break someones legs easier than other body parts then do it take the path of least resistance plus black belts should be very aware of the danger and the have to know how to defend the legs
There is an assumption is that leglocks are not practical and positions like ashi garami are not dominant positions. I don't believe this is true, you should take a seminar or do some in-depth study into the leglock game. I guarantee you will not come out with the same perspective.
