Thanks mate, this vid helped me out. My right brake light had gone and luckily I had a spare and your instructions worked a charm!
You're welcome !
Thank you! My first time doing this. Out of five videos watched, I found that YOU are the only one who said to PUSH DOWN and rotate "lefty loosey." Ugh. Got it.
Thanks for watching !
thank you man
was just driving when the screen was telling me that i need to replace one of my bulbs, turns out it was the rear one
you saved me money now I dont have to go to the dealership
cheers
You're welcome 👍
Good thing i saw this. I was going to replace with a double filament bulb for the brake light. It seems the outer bulb allows more current to make bulb glow more when brake pedal is depressed.

Very useful video. It will save money and time. I would recommend to put the tipe of the lightbulbs in the description.
Excellent! You are a star. Very clear instructions. Job took about five minutes. How much money have I saved not going to a garage or halfords???
You're welcome, thanks for watching !
thanks for the tutorial just replaced my brake light like a star hahah
You're welcome !
Nice clear explanation. The best by far.
Thanks for watching !
@@screwsnutsandbolts The actual VW Golf Mk5 hatch production dates at the Wolfsburg Plant was between 2004 and 2008, with the Mk6 presumably commencing immediately after the Mk5 ceased in 2008.
Excellent quality. Thanks
Thanks for watching !
best video out there! needs more recognition.
Thank you !
I'd like to point out that my Golf Mk5 was filling up with water in the rear boot wheel well, and the base of the back seat was getting terribly wet also. After much expense I pinned it down to the offside rear light cluster leaking. Rainwater would collect on the tailgate, then, on opening the tailgate, water runs off the tailgate, into the gutter, around the outside and onto/behind the light cluster, where it then went straight into the boot, filling up the spare wheel well. Then, when you put the brakes on the water goes all over the back seat. Test the seal is good after refitting the light cluster or much trouble will ensue. It's a pretty bad design imho. Hope this helps somebody.
Thanks for the heads up !
Hi,
Thanks for this’d today I noticed my back seats were soaking wet. Traced the water all the way back to the light. Guess we have the same problem. Did you re seal the light cluster with anything or just make sure it was fitted correctly?
Can it be re-sealed? Or do you need to buy a new part? I am having the same issue. Lots of rain and now everything seems to have shorted out. Replaced bulb with a new one but it is not working. Any suggestions?
Thank you for a very good, clear, step by step video. One point - my understanding is that if you touch a halogen globe it may shorten globe life so you should wipe off any possible oil left by fingers with alcohol. Correct?
Thank you. Yes that's recommended when handling halogen bulbs
I think that applies to the hi power halogen front headlight bulbs only, any grease or dirt on the lens can shorten the life of the bulb, and same goes double for HID xenon bulbs. On low power bulbs like brake or reversing lights it doesn't matter.
this is outstanding work. Thank you very much
You're very welcome, thanks for watching !
Before changing the headlight bulb, consider removing the fuse box cover. This simple step can provide better access and visibility to the headlight assembly, making the replacement process smoother and more efficient.
Thanks.
You're welcome
Are these bulbs different from the normal filament bulbs also? 💡
Excellent you are a lifesaver. Do you have a video:
How to replace window regulator front passenger leftside ?

I replaced the bulb but is not working and the light on the dash is still on .Any recommendation.
Which dash light is on ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts the back light bulb is not working even i changed the bulb .I think it would be the module or any fuse do you have any recommendations .And yes the bulb light is on the dash still .
@@lorikarifi2451 I am having the same issue. Did water get inside your tail light? Mine filled up with water from heavy rains. Now tail light bulb not working even when brand new. Some kind of short or fuse has been blown. I don't know how to fix this.
@@EMVelez Mine wasnt filled with water but just check the bulb if its okay and reset dhe car fully locked waited for couple minutes and it worked .
One of the mount screws on mine is just stuck.. I've been going at it with the socket and everything else for hours now, any idea how I can break it off or get it off somehow?
Is it rotating or stuck solid ?
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks !
Hi my friend my golf car front light. Parking lights bulb broke in side how can take out any halp
You'll need to push it in and turn it using a needle nose pliers or something similar
Use the pliers like this: ruclips.net/video/dKP5FzYN2Js/видео.html
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks
Where can I find the mounting nut for rear right cluster light water is finding its was into the buld and condensation building up just need 1 mounting nut
You could replace it with a standard flange nut with similar threads, just don't over-tighten it 🙂
@@screwsnutsandbolts 1 of the mounting nuts is rung and I can't get it out, water is getting in and my seats are wet how can I fix this
@@molder.x Is the thread rotating with the nut ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts it is
@@molder.x If the thread is turning inside the light unit I really don't know how you can get that nut off without damaging it. Hopefully somebody else can give you advice on removing it. I've never come across this problem myself, sorry I can't help you.
