Hi Becky! I love making reading pillows. To make the pillow form fluffier, toss it in the dryer for 5-10 minutes before putting it in the pillow case. 😊
Oh Becky that is so beautiful!!!!! I so wish I had a machine like that. You did an amazing job with that pillow!!!!!! Love love love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How darling! You are so incredibly talented and inspiring! Thank you so very much for sharing ! Your Granddaughter will absolutely love her reading pillow ❤!
Adorbs! Your granddaughter is going to love this. Great use of the Kimberbell pillow cover, too. I still have mine and now I have an idea for the great grandson's gift in the future.
I made 5 reading pillows for all the grandchildren and my sister’s grandchildren and added a book for each along with a matching bookmark for Christmas. They all loved them and so will your granddaughter!!
Hi Becky! I love using Kimberbell blanks! Especially this time of year when gifts are needed ASAP! Wishing you, Keith and your family a joyous holiday season!
Your pillow is adorable. Thanks for the coupon on sewTites. I have wanted to order these and your video convinced me and the coupon saved me the 15%. Thank you. Happy New Year!
Great tutorial, excellent project to make. You make it look so easy! Could you please tell me what the quilting design was called and where if possible, I can obtain it too. Many thanks and Happy New Year!
Hello. Thank You for making this video, Your quilting is beautiful, I’m getting ready to purchase Embrillance Essentials, do I need to purchase the thumbnail as well?
Your quilt turned out so great with the chenille. The pillow will be great with it. Hope your allergies get better. It’s so hard to think straight when your head is clogged.
Beautiful quilt and reading pillow. Hope you are feeling better. And thanks for the discount on the sew tites. I bought 2 sets! I do have one question, where did you get your pillow insert? I like that it looks more like a down pillow and not a stiff insert like a regular pillow form. My granddaughter I’m making this for is very small ( she was a premie) and I want something softer for her.
I don't use Frixion pens, but Frixion Markers instead. They don't ghost like the pens do. I've pretty much stopped using the pens at all because of that issue.
May I ask a question of Becky and anyone who would like to respond? When you make a quilt for a baby or child, or anyone, do you wash it before you give it? I am making a flannel baby quilt and it is very colorful. I am afraid it may bleed or shrink, as flannel does. Should I wash it with a Color Catcher and hang it to dry? Or should I give it to the mom with instructions? Thanks, anyone.
There are so many varying grades of flannel that washing it first is a judgement call. If you purchased it at a big box store like Joann's, I would wash it first for sure because it WILL shrink. A color catcher isn't necessary unless the flannel is red and I'd soak it in a cold vinegar bath before washing to set the color first.
@@PowerToolsWithThread I did not wash it first because I used charm packs for the center. I got it at Missouri Star so I was confident in the quality. I just don't know if I should wash the finished quilt before I give it to her. I think maybe I will, just to be on the safe side. Thanks so much for responding, Becky. Your videos are my favorite on RUclips and I learn so much from you! And I just got Embrilliance!
Hi. Hope you feel better soon. I have a QUESTION. I noticed on the mighty hoop you have the blue part with the measurements facing up when mounted to the machine. On the website it shows the grey part up…and my sewing machine place said the grey goes up. I do it the same as you, tho. Do you think it really matters? Also, your multi needle monster hoop is what size? I followed your link but I don’t think it took me to the right hoop. Unless yours is 8X12. For the life of me I thought yours was bigger.
Well, I guess it's an 8x12 after looking at the DIME site. I don't see the difference between putting the blue part on the top or bottom. Either way works. I've just always put it on top. Unless...you know sometimes how on a scan the hoop seems like it catches on the arm underneath? Perhaps having the blue part on the bottom provides the additional lift space needed so that that doesn't happen? I'll have to try it and see.
Adorable. What a lucky little girl.
Darling! I made my 9 yr old grandson a reading pillow for Christmas also. His has a dragon on it. Sew cute❤
That is adorable!!! What a wonderful grandmother you are.
You get better! Hope your allergies get better soon! Hope your Christmas was WONDERFUL!🎅
I often find the best embroidery designs on Etsy. And love that I am helping artisans.

Becky, you are a wonderful Grandmother! Do u ever have problems with the Frixion pen mark returning if the item is in the cold weather? Thanks.

Hey Becky! Where did you get your Princess and the pea panel?
I got mine at a quilt shop in Oklahoma. They are hard to come by without the Chenille-It kit. But you can look here - shrsl.com/3vj2p
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you Becky!
Would you use the magnets on single needle machine? Will it scratch the top surface?
I have used these magnets on my single-needle Luminaire with no problems or scratching.
Lovely quilt and pillow book project is super! Feel better you sound fatigued.

I put the name on the base pillow above the pocket.
I love your quilt! Is it one of your designs or is it from some place else?
It's a panel and I just added borders. Thank you!
Is it just me or is there no sound to this video? I have tried everything. No sound comes.
You probably viewed it when it first published. Try again! :)
@Power Tools with Thread could be. Working fine now. Thank you
