Here's another question to ask Fitz. How much money is/was projected for building new athlete housing? Compare the amount per bed between a dorm style housing and just building a house with the same number of bedrooms. Heard a story it would be cheaper to build houses. I'm sure there are things at K-State that raise questions and might not appear to great. But if we keep the questions about using tax dollars from all sources let see what the answers are! It's my understanding that donations to the University, whether they be for athletics or education, have to run through the endowment or other non-profit entity for them to be tax deductible. I'm fairly certain this is how it works for most universities. It would be difficult to get the large amounts on these donations if they weren't tax-deductible. It's the one thing they are getting for donating in the first place.

Name one large, newsworthy deviation from original plan kstate has had in completely rebuilding its football stadium over 20 years, plus numerous other major athletics projects- volleyball arena, BB practice facility, Baseball reno, soccer stadium, rowing facility, etc. The whole thing is a bait and switch. Has the 50 million dollar grant for the Gateway project been disbursed to KU? If so, why would the state do that before that project was about to come out of the ground. I suppose this will come down to differing definitions of the word "is".
