When I watched the movie Cars the first time as a little kid, I didn't know what a Porsche was even was. But as I grew older, I went and looked up which car was Sally Carrera was since I liked cars so much. Then I saw the most beautiful 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera image ever. And at that moment I loved Porsche ever since. It's sad to see this one of a kind 911 to go but I will never forget what Porsche has done to me: Their cars will still be beautiful in the coming future.

Cars made a huge impact on me growing up, my brother drives a speed yellow 996 and we might have the movie to thank for our family's love of Porsche, I didn't appreciate going to the museum enough back when I went. Can't wait to return!
That moment where the headlights moved to show emotion and a sense of it being alive just brought back major nostalgia to the other car related movie Series that Disney made. And I hope to see it someday picked up again possibly when the inevitable return of a 4th Generation of a certain other European Automotive classic that shares many similarities in design and that sort of "heart and soul". Also thanks in part to Ferdinand Porsche as well. And while it certainly never became anything like a race car . . . it actually kinda did in our eyes. Let's just say that certain two digit number, three basic colors and the power of love made history like that on another car. ❤️⚪💙

its kind of surprising, that no one other crossed the Pixar Cars world, there were so much iconic cars, even newer like Miata or Fiat 500. from these two I would expect such collaboration more than from a serious brand like Porsche, but it turns out, that Porsche People had more sense what affect people. And these tribute to Pixar is just amazing, as amazing as the character that was interpreted in the 911.
Porsche did something absolutely spectacular here. While in Cars they made Hudson Hornet based on real life racer, in here Porsche did the exact opposite. Honestly I hope more models like this will come to life.

This is kinda sad for me. In 2016 I went to a few countries in Europe with my family and we went to the porsche museum in Germany. My brother and I got a picture with that car and my Bro really got excited. It's a core memory for us now. Hope Sally goes into good hands.
The beauty of the original Sally Porsche 911 was that it was a base model $60,000 (adjusted for inflation) version that had “ugly” egg drop headlights that most people didn’t like at the time and because the younger brother Cayman had them. It was through Sally’s kindness and personality (and wide hips) that made her character shine above Lightning Mgqueen.
It's not really ugly, it's the fact that boxster had the same headlight shape that cheapens the 911. That was the complain. Ordinary joe mistakes boxster as 911 all the time, and that's an insult
Been to the Porsche museum last year, prolly the cleanest ans the best car museum I've ever been! Worth the 4 hr drive and and I was able to hit 165 mph on a stretch of autobahn getting there hahaha! Would go there again in a heart beat.
Really hope this car was given to someone who wants to show the car to all the kids there and not to a person who puts it in the garage for 20 years growing rarity instead.

Yes I named my first Porsche , a 986 Boxster "Sally". She was a wonderfull Porsche and inspired me to buy a 2007 997 GT3 and the rest is history !
I saw that car twice in person. It"s really well made.
