"What's at stake in every game & what each team needs to do" - I must have missed the bit with every game and each team...

Don't underestimate Club Brugge, they experts at drawing. They haven't lost one game in 18 matches.

I agree with the analysis. This format has exposed everyone . Who would have tot psg n mancity would be battling to stay in play offs . Love it .

This covered about six games - didn’t even show all the games that were going to be played, much less discus “what’s at stake in every game”. Very poor coverage of just the usual suspects.

Are you seriously promoting gambling on this show? You know kids watch this stuff right? Gambling is an addiction. It’s pathetic. Grown educated guys like yourselves should know better than to normalise it.

It's America's hope to make money, more gamble than invest and you twist sport and entertainment this was always going to happen.
I expect a penalty for Benfica vs Juventus since the Romanian ref calls about 50% penalties in his games which is high and Juventus is more defensive than attacking so I also expect 5 yellow cards and both teams to score.

This year’s UCL will be won by a team who has not automatically qualified to the knockout stage.

A perfect example of "Just because you're loud doesn't mean you're making sense". Even in the older format, every goal mattered, every game mattered and the final group game has always been like a cup final. Lol, CBS hiring cheap guys who don't speak football for these shows?

Ur talking crab n it shows u have no Champions League knowledge. Uefa changed the format precisely for this reason, every single game to matter.
Older format game 5 n 6 mostly for team like Liverpool with 100% win record wouldn't matter coz they won the group. Last season most last games ddnt matter, wouldn't change positions either so they were dead rubbers. This season even Liverpool knows the path if they stay top who to avoid or will face, so each game n position matter, each game affects yo position from game 1 to 8.

I mean, these guys work for the broadcaster, maybe these are their honest opinions on the format but at the end of the day their job is to promote the broadcast to persuade you to tune in.
I liked the old format too but this simultaneous 18 game bonanza with every result tied together promises to be interesting, if not chaotic and headache-inducing. I guess we'll find out if the entertainment value on offer today was worth scrapping simplicity & tradition.

Old format has dead rubber games in the last matchday or two for almost every single group and they're super predictable from the start, largely because the better you are, the easier opposition you got, as you didn't have to play anyone from your own pot. Neither of these things are true anymore in the new format. On the final matchday here, we have what, 2 out of 18 games being meaningless? That's considerably lower and just looking at the table in general it has been far more unpredictable throughout.

If you think uefa changed this for any reason except having more games to sell television rights you’re daft and your opinion doesn’t matter
