This is what I dreamed of doing as a kid in the 60s. I was about 8 or 9 years old some how found a glass blowing kit from bernzomatic with torch tubes and rods at a rummage sale. I endlessly made lots of mess and had lots of fun but no place to see how it was actually done. Now we have youtube!

Is the height of the inner tube connected to the coils taller than the heights of the outer coil? Or is it flush with the outer coil?

+reddyc1989 Yes, it is slightly higher. A 3/4 tube comes in at 90 degrees to the coils and they're all attached that tube.

One more question, is that the thin blue wale tape? When I put it in the oven it turns a gold color and is even flakier than before. Do you put the tape in between each layer of coils or just on the bottom? Thanks!

hey there I wonder if you check what ppl write in the channel... I am making a video so to provide some basic info about water distillation, I wonder if it would be okay if I add some parts of this video of yours as background in a small section of my video, because I am trying to explain that it is important to prevent polluting the condensation... so I am suggesting at that specific point of my video, the use of glass/pyrex and ceramics... instead of metals or other options... so will it be ok if I use some of your video??
