Genji at A is crazy work
I honestly think they should start giving reaper armor, having practically no range, somewhat bigger hit box(like life weaver), and heavy reliance on a teleport that’s very telegraphed, just makes him so easy to deal with to the point where playing reaper is just a high risk high reward where the risk far outweighs the reward. I say giving him a little bit of armor like torb or brig would really help him to live the initial burst damage and fight back the opponents.
The problem is that his playstyle as a diver should be high risk high reward and armor makes him better at brawling too. I think that reducing his shadows cooldown a decent amount and slightly shortening its time of effect would work better. Would make him more sustaining as a dps as long as he uses it for mobility and isolating targets. It also means that if he gets focused he can get away if he plays his cards right
The teleport could have a faster cast time too though just ever so slightly
@@IZenI00 reaper isnt really a diver he is used in brawl comps replacing 50 hp for armor could help but his teleport needs a rework or he needs a new ability

My confusion about the armor changes is what metrics are they using that show reaper as over performing against tanks? Like I get tracer for the higher end of skill and bastion at the lower end. But reaper wasn’t even the best tank buster despite it being his main niche
He may not always been the best but he was always good as a secondary or pocket character. (However he his good moments where he is a good solid pick especially in certain 1v1 moments)
But the main thing about playing as reaper is that you always go for the ambush, Hit them enough times to where you can weaken the enemies, and/or have your teammates weakened them so Reaper can finish them off.
Reaper is always a high risk high reward character and is very situational. He's always been in actuality a good DPS character and it's really good at doing a lot of damage especially up close however with this new armor update it's significantly hurt him in a lot of ways where he can't easily soften up his opponents and now he even has a hard time and struggling to finish off his opponents because of this change.
Reaper is known to be a good character to play as a counter rush and/ or counter aggressive character because he can basically go on equal grounds or at least has a better chance to go against characters that can play aggressive that other characters can't.
Hopefully, Reaper will get some adjustments to compensate for this but if he does not, then he's going to be struggling for the rest of this season because of this change.
Plus given the character's lack of range, speed, and other tricks, Reaper doesn't have much of anything else other than going all out or losing it all whether he's ambushing an opponent, weakening them, and/or finishing them off.
I'm brand new to OW and just started playing Reaper. Sad to learn that he's so far down all the way in F tier. I'm having great success teleporting behind teams and killing their squishies, why is he considered so weak ?!
He is considered weak now because tanks have been buffed even more, reapers known for tank busting but even then he is dog shit at killing supports, even supports can have more damage in game than a reaper. Im a reaper main and this is the worst he’s been yet, uninstalling the game as i one trick him and i constantly just lose games now
@@Daniel__2005I only just came back from overwatch 1 5 years ago and I had triple the damage of the reaper on my team as Soujorn and I dnt play anymore. He was useless the whole game and made 0 plays
Reaper can still go crazy these tier lists usually dont mean anything until diamond rank.
@@ellamint360 Then that's not Reaper going crazy. That's just bad players making repeatedly bad mistakes and capitalizing on it. Any hero can be "crazy" with those conditions.
Reaper has always been very good in lower ranks cause no one really pays attetion behind and by time they noticed you killed somone and just wraith out
Reaper biggest issue is he is so slow and he isnt really a flanker and he isnt really a brawl hero he is just in this werid spot where he is good against certain tanks and thats his nishe like he is good vs mauga for example

I would’ve ranked Hanzo low A tier. At lower ranks he’s definitely more difficult to play due to lack of knowledge about his projectiles. But in the higher ranks, if you’re able to consistently hit shots. He’s easily able to dominate a lobby. Low GM Player btw
I've literally been carrying games as reaper. Everyone remember, these tier lists are subjective. Playing well will always trump your opinion 💯✌️

Im a reaper main, i cant tell u how shit he is now to the point i have broken my head set. Constantly losing all the time and it doesnt matter how well u play him, u can have good positioning and good aim but u still get shat on, uninstalling the game now until they buff reaper again, its just not fair

coming back to this season from s6 as a widow one trick, god what rhe fuck happened 😭 I’m only in d4 but its all flankers and I feel so much more pressure than previously it’s insane especially with some of these tanks

For once, I actually agree with this channel, at least, about Reaper's spot in the game.
Some things to note:
- Reaper went from doing 216 max damage against a tank last season down to a meager 89.1, factoring in armor changes and headshot reduction.
- This also effects the amount of lifesteal he receives since doing damage against armor only refunds you the amount of health removed, not damage done (even though he's doing a raw 216 damage, it will only return him 35% of 89.1 or in other words, 31.2 HP).
- The graphs showing Reaper being able to kill Winston from 3 seconds to 5 seconds is skewed as it doesn't mention that all 20 pellets have to hit for him to be able to do max damage (in other words, he has to be point blank hitting back to back perfect shots).
