Erawan Waterfall / Erawan National Park - Founded in 1975 as Thailand’s 12th National Park, it covers an area of 550 km².
The biggest and most beautiful waterfall of Kanchanaburi, Erawan Waterfall, which runs from the Huai Mong Lai River down a 2100 meters tall mountain. The waterfall is 1500 meters long and has seven tiers, each of which is a great and safe swimming area.
This park is stunning. I only did 3 waterfalls because i arrived at 2:50pm (they close at 4:30pm) it so wasn’t enough time. I wish I had made a whole day of it and did all of the waterfalls.
Life jackets for hire 2 hours at 20 baht
From Kanchanaburi (~70 km), Bangkok (~200 km), Ayutthaya (~220 km)
Entrance fees & opening times
the entrance fees for Foreigners are 300 Baht for adults and 150 Baht for children 3-14 years old, 20 Baht for a motorbike and 30 Baht for a car.
Thai citizens pay 60 Baht for adults and 30 Baht for children.
Erawan National Park is open daily from 8 am until around 4:30 pm all year round, even on the public holidays. Although the official closure time is 4:30 pm, the rangers start cleaning the trails from the top tier around 3 pm and ask visitors to leave as they slowly move down, tier by tier. The lower tiers could be open until 5 pm, depending on how quick/slow the daily cleaning goes.
