In this video, I'm dealing with a new double-side tank drum. It combines two moods: a mystical and deep mood on the one side, and a serene and joyful one on the other.
In the second part of this video, I'm discussing the issues of tank drum improvisation and explaining how to come up with tunes, and develop them.
I'm also showing a few tank drum playing techinques that I use while improvising.
In this video - double-sided Tank Drum 12" inc in the key of B-minor + E-major (Mixolydian). This scale have name "Orphean", "charming, just like the music of Orpheus."

Thank you so much for offering English translations of your videos. I bought a HAPI tongue drum recently. Just a mini. I am waiting on a larger one from another guy here in the US to arrive in Pygmy tuning. But this little one I have is pretty much impossible for me to get a sound on with my fingers. It looks like you barely tap yours to get sound.. Anyway I am using mallets. I am a musician so I understand music. My biggest problem is the muscle memory in my brain for rhythm. I am hoping I will grow in this respect quickly. I am a flutist so I always used my tongue for rhythm!
you're very welcome! the secret of making a good sound is absolutely relaxed, fast and bouncy fingers. It needs some prectice, but it is not hard at all.

I have a 13 tone one and I'm having a hard time finding out what the notes are on it I've found pictures of what they are on a 8 tone but no luck on a 13 tone any help is appreciated 😁
I find it difficult to casually use my left hand to add to the melody of my right, I assume the comfortability will come with practice. Do you have any tips for becoming ambidextrous?

I received my 2-sided Horoscope B and D-minor tank drum today and it looks amazing and love the mystical tone of it, looking forward to discover this amazing instrument and learn some tunes on it :-) I have one question; must I clean it only with a dry cloth after playing or do I also need to lubricate the drum with a particular oil sometimes?
Just a wipe with dry cloth and moisturize it with a hair dryer
