Hi guys. BIG FAN! so i tried this once years ago but i was never pleased with my results because i used a pool as well. and i thought that shooting in a pool was not artistic enough and also because i would be afraid of what people would say. seeing THIS video has made of the chains of fear to be broken from my creative soul. i absolutely loved the images and the mood of them.

Great images, it definitely looked looked fun but with only 18% lung volume I don’t see me doing it any day soon. I really like the first image of the latest set, it was aesthetically beautiful and it had a very strong story to it and asked lots of questions. The first time you used the casing were you at all worried that the housing might leak?
May I wish you both the very happiest of New Years, I think professionally this year is going to be mind blowing for you even better than 2017, you work so hard on everything you put out. The channel itself is unique in its approach, and I know even at my old age I’ve got a lot out of it. As for your personal life may you fall in love with each other and love each other more and more each day, I know it’s possible because I fall more in love and I love my wife more each day. I see loving someone, where you’d doing anything for that person slightly different than falling in love when your heart misses a beat differently. If it’s this year you get married I hope it brings as more joy as I have and I could wish more for anyone. I’m really looking forward to your 2018.

Are you making a video about 2017?
In case anyone else comes across this, I have a tip based off expierence with this type of shooting. If you exhale, as opposed to inhale, before going underwater, you will sink easily. If your model does the same she will also sink quicker and will avoid air bubbles coming from the nose/mouth. Hope that helps!

You need to try this at night. I had some fun with an underwater camera. It wasn’t an expensive camera but the footage was moody and totally fun. If you’re curious it’s my Tom Rosenthal video.

The suit makes you float even more, that's why divers use weights.

What water protection did you use
AYE-OOO! Meg Griffin the Pro Underwater Videographer here with a tip for your troubles!! Throw a couple weights on with your wet suit to create a neutral Buoyancy so you can sink to the bottom! Wets suits' designs cause to you be naturally floaty so donning a weight belt will help you sink. Try 2, 4 or 6 Lbs at first, hold a belly full of air and see if you float at eye level- this will determine if you've achieved neutral buoyancy, release the air and you'll sink! Also consider going through an open water scuba diving class and getting a heavier camera housing if you want to do more of this kind of photography; the camera itself will act as a weight instead of a float and the scuba class will give you a lot of insight into how your body acts underwater-Plus it eliminates that pesky holding your breath factor. I'd also recommend getting a normal mask, the full face masks hinder your ability to go deep (phrasing?) and they're not designed for business. Get a mask that fits your face well and you'll be surprised how comfortable it feels! You guys have some great stuff I'm really enjoying your channel keep up the great work and informational videos!

Mango Street awesome! Then it sounds like you've got some knowledgeable people on your team. Practice makes perfect. The first time anyone takes a camera underwater it feels a little unnatural, keep at it and you'll get awesome results.

Try using a weight belt used for SCUBA and snorkeling to offset the bouyancy of the wet suit. It makes it much easier to sink.
we had a weight belt, but i did not have the lung capacity 😵
