- Here are the seven secret hidden characters you can unlock in WWF WrestleMania 2000 on the Nintendo 64.
• Jerry 'The King' Lawler - Get to the WrestleMania PPV during Road to WrestleMania mode, and they'll introduce themselves.
• Jim Ross - Get to the WrestleMania PPV during Road to WrestleMania mode, and they'll introduce themselves.
• Shawn Michaels - Become WWF Champion at WrestleMania during Road to WrestleMania mode, and you'll be challenged by him.
• Dude Love - Win the King of the Ring in Road to WrestleMania mode, and win the title shot you receive at SummerSlam.
• Stephanie McMahon - Use Test during Road to WrestleMania mode, and after a few matches he will accompany you to the ring.
• Cactus Jack - Win the WWF Hardcore championship in Road to WrestleMania mode, and defend it 3 times.
• Paul Bearer - Use Undertaker during Road to WrestleMania mode, and after a few matches he will accompany you to the ring.

wrestlemania 2000 will always be one of my favorite wrestling game of all time,no mercy is great too but wrestlemania has extended entrance and for me personally rly important:the tag teams come together to the ring

Came here after watching the 2000 Royal Rumble. Man wrestling was just perfect. So glad i was able to experience its glory
My childhood memories I was 10 years old when I first got this game. My father may he rip took me to toys r us I was so excited. I was one of the first kids in line😍. The attitude era was the best era in WWE lets argue💯

After unlocking HBK, I just saved and put the controller down. I don't ever wanna go through all that again, way too fucking hard. Like No Mercy, their unlockables could've been better imho
@@VeilStig Big time. Plus when you create people, they're jobbers when they're CPU which just makes the simulated matches one-sided.
I beat HBK by dragging him to the ring poll and yeah that was very hard to beat him

The one time Paul Bearer came out on his own (somewhere in early 1998-ish) he was given a previous version of The Undertaker's funeral dirge as his entrance music but no 'tron... then again, it could have been difficult to re-work it in Wrestlemania 2000. Taker's music for the game could have worked too.
Yeah I'd always change his music and titantron to Undertaker's. Just made more sense.
In WWF Attitude Paul Bearer has a different entranca music to Taker.
@@chris_t2020 That's because in Attitude, Paul Bearer used Undertaker's old "Graveyard Symphony" theme, whereas Undertaker used his 1998 pre-Ministry "Lord of Darkness" theme (the theme he used before getting the 1999 "Ministry" theme).

The animation from the intro movie was pretty great. Two frames of him pointing his guns.
You'd have figured Paul Bearer would've come out to either Kane or Undertaker's theme instead of the RAW theme, honestly.
The game looked so real back then.
Only thing I didn't like about wwe wrestling games back then was alot of the hidden characters weren't real wrestlers . Announcers refs managers and ho's 😂😂😂😂😂.
New wrestling games need more hoes.

@@tysargent9647 WCW might've taken issue with that lol same with Bret but it woulda been cool. Technically I believe their moves are in the game that carried over from Revenge so they atleast gave people some options. Andre was in No Mercy.

I need answers, I beaten Big Show for the WWF Championship on an Episode of Raw a few weeks before WrestleMania but after the match Vince McMahon came out and stripped me the title and gave it to Undertaker. After I finished WrestleMania 2000, there’s wasn’t Shawn Michaels and it just says Please Try Again. WTF just happened?

@@nightnight4575 Damn, well the whole path from KOR to the title match at Wrestlemania is a living hell, I didn't even know if I'd be able to beat HBK after all that. Funny I also did 2 finishers on him. After all that shit was saved, I just put down the controller. Really wish the unlockables were better
Sucks that you couldn’t change the women’s theme song like for instance Stephanie McMahon when she was dating Test in kayfabe I’ve always had to clone her and change her theme to Test

I was an N64 kid back in the day so I'm happy with this.
You guys eventually got Smackdown though so it wasn't too bad. I don't think it came out until like 2000 though.
@@TBrizzle01 SmackDown came out around 2000. I think by that time the N64 had it's life cycle starting to wind down. Now wrestling games get 1 release on mostly all consoles. I think that the entrances and videos might have been a little smoother on PlayStation and the developers would have possibly made more money on the game as people who didn't own an N64 would purchase the port.

The roster was considerably smaller, the season mode was weak if you didn't pick a main eventer (most of the time, you'd rarely get booked & would have to wait through tedious scenes of other wrestlers facing each other until all of their life bars depleted & a winner/s was declared and if you were booked, you'd have to win every match you have to progress through the mode), and the gameplay was arcade-style rather than semi-realistic simulation.
This games was corny but still so good at the same time 😭

They did. All of these hidden characters are legends now, with only Stephanie as the only one not in the Hall of Fame yet.

@Riyadh Uddin This game used all PPV arenas from 1999. They used the title WrestleMania 2000 since that was the next one. The naming scheme is kind of like how Madden does it.
@@TBrizzle01 Not really. The SummerSlam arena was from 1998, as was Survivor Series.

This game’s difficult ass Road to WrestleMania kinda ruined the game for me. I had to spam the same shit just to win compared to WWF SmackDown! which came out 4 months after this for the PS1 I had tons of fun with the Arcade Style gameplay. Realistic Gameplay doesn’t really translate well to Video Games
RTWM was actually pretty realistic, the lower carders were easy to best and the upper midcard/main eventers were tougher.
@@ChrisM07 Not so much realistic when you can just taunt over and over and then use a finisher or two to your opponent and win the match in less than 2 mins
I just get frustrated by having like 6 matches a night because I won the other championships. I guess I could have just jobbed out to lose the garbage belts and simplify my road?
@@TBrizzle01 You should've done that. The problem was, jobbing out might've also put you down lower on the pecking order & make you work that much harder to get the top prize.
Anyone ever played career mode until the last match vs. Stonecold glitches? Lol and a crash dummy comes down the ramp for him?

I accidentally screwed up my roster while using a GameShark to clone female wrestlers in order to unlock Dummy and Ho’s but I ended up with a messed up roster with too many copies of Dummy and Ho’s. And I don’t know how to get cloned wrestlers back. Is there any way you can reset the roster?
If you hold the start button when turning on the console an option will pop up to reset all the data.
I edit all the old superstars and make them into new current Superstars Roman reign ,,john cena etc

You had to unlock him via the career mode as he wasn't available at the start of the game - he was a hidden character.

WHY WASNT JOHN CENA OR BROCK INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL GAME? There is no attitude era without Brock
Neither were around during the Attitude Era. Both started and took off 2002 onwards.

Brock debut a couple of months before the Attitude Era ended, and Cena debuted after it ended. They are both Ruthless Aggression Era stars.
