    I have my mothers Magnalite roaster, which I know is at least 50 to 60 yrs old, possibly more.
    It measures roughly
    11 1/2 x 17. Has cover & rack insert. It's in excellent condition. My mother was a perfectionist about everything!
    The stamping on the bottom is WAGNER WARE SIDNEY -0- & at the lower portion of the bottom
    MAGNALITE 4269.
    I appreciate any information you may be able to give me on this piece. Also, if you have any idea of the value.
    Thank you.
    I'm so glad I ran across your channel.

      From the information you provided you can easily get over 300$ for it, from looking on eBay some go for over 500$. From what information you gave it sounds like you have the full set (Pot, lid and tray). Magnalite refers to this pot as its Turkey Roaster. Hope the information was helpful.

    I have a couple original from my grandmother, the one's branded by Wagner Magnalite over 50 yrs old, and from my mother the GHC Magnalite.

    Could you tell me how to clean the pots, I found one at a thrift store! I am just thrilled!

    • @FatBoiCookingChannel
      @FatBoiCookingChannel  11 месяцев назад +3

      Depending on how much it needs to be cleaned you can use SOS pad. If it’s really bad and u have a self cleaning oven you can place in the oven and the put the over on clean and it will burn it off, this also works great for clean cast iron cookware. I use this method every few yrs on my cast iron and magnalite

    Could you show your parents set? I’m going to buy my first one and wondering which would be best for my first purchase. Which is older? Just the magnalite or SidneyO? Thank you! Love your videos!!

    I just inherited my mother in-law's. It has the metal insert. I guess I will try it out this weekend. What do you recommend I use to clean it?

    • @FatBoiCookingChannel
      @FatBoiCookingChannel  Год назад +2

      Depending on what I have cooked in mine, I will use either a sponge scrub w/ some soap or an SOS pad.

      I quit using mine probably 10 years ago. Worried about aluminum leaking into food. They are all pitted inside. If they got too dark inside from cooking, tomato sauce/paste helped brighten it up. Guess that's where the pitting came from

    How old is the Wagner Ware Sidney Magnalite Roasterette?

    • @FatBoiCookingChannel
      @FatBoiCookingChannel  9 месяцев назад +2

      from checking online i found that it was made between 1934-1999. What makes it even harder is that there is no date that is stamped on the pots. Sorry I wasnt able to get any closer then that

      @@FatBoiCookingChannel I'm glad all of my preowned Mags predate the 90's. As family members had them well before then. I've only purchased 1 via eBay since my sisters not ready to part with hers yet, lol.

    • @JNante

      I just got that one 1 week ago. I know it was made by both Wagner O and GHC. The Wagner branded would be the oldest, and has the 4263 stamped on it. GHC doesn't have the number but it's quality is the same.
