Bredon Hill Quarter Peal Marathon, 2024

On 20th January 2024 six local ringers took part in a Quarter Peal Marathon around Bredon Hill, Worcestershire, in aid of the Elmley Castle Restoration Appeal.
The band was ably assisted by numerous local ringers who supported not only with financial donations, but also raising and lowering the bells.
The band consisted of Rachel D Page, Richard Lewis-Skeath, Reg Hitchings, Roger Hunt, Harry Stephenson and Steve Bowley.
The marathon included attempts at Ashton Under Hill, Beckford, Overbury, Kemerton, Bredon, Bredons Norton, Eckington, Great Comberton, Little Comberton and Elmley Castle with 12,828 changes rung over seven hours and 33 minutes between 9am and 8:41pm
