What is a Bore Tide? The Alaskan Bore Tide Phenomenon

A while back I was driving home along side Cook Inlet in Alaska, one of the biggest bore tides in the world. I seen the outgoing tide collide with the incoming tide, WOW , what a sight. 😊

Was hooligan fishing last week and a man was screaming from behind us. He’s said the tide was coming in and as I turned my head, here comes a bore tide. Lived in Alaska all my life and it was my first time experiencing that. It was FAST! 😅

I've heard the term "tidal bore" all my life (I'm 83) but I never heard of a "bore tide" until I saw this video. Did someone change the name of this phenomenon? The Bay of Fundy is a famous one. The tide extremes there cause huge changes in water height.
