When in the cold, take lessons from cold-weather peoples...I just happen to have a history as a Viking re-enactor. My first layer for that would be a linen tunic with a wool over-tunic, and I'd throw a wool "robe" over that with possibly another wool cloak on top of THAT...and if I get overheated under all that gear I can always ditch a couple of those layers during the day and still look and feel like a badass. When I was a Boy Scout I learned the value of wool and dressing in layers, and one of the first things I learned was the value of getting military surplus from eastern Europe and Scandinavia...Swedish and Norwegian (Finnish if I can get it) gear is typically made of wool but intended for soldiers to wear during combat, so it's absolutely worth it to grab it whenever I can (and, since it's hard to get in my size, I'll settle for smaller and Frankenstein it to fit.)
Ok, I am surprised how quickly you've made this video. And I also love to see that you actually made my idea into a video :) And don't you dare to say something like you wanted to make this in a long time, thank ya :D
For gloves: I use finger-less ones that I attached a little fur lined pouch to on the back of my hand. So I can use them like mittens if not manipulating something and use my fingers really quickly für everything else. Works a charm and is extremely cozy. Even more so than gloves with fingers I tried.
Very impressive stuff, Like honestly man you are such a talented artist, have you ever thought about live streaming while you’re making the costumes? I would totally watch that, keep it up!
a silk underlayer is also warm and good for anyone sensitive to wool, for skinny girl arms, cut the toes off long socks and slide them up over the arms, "i can fit myself and a large chunk of my girlfriend into this jacket" - the best way to stay warm
Hello from Alberta Canada, where the occasional -50c winter weather keeps you in layers. Very creative ideas in your items. Id like to see more hat, glove and boot ideas for men and women.
I'm going to my second Post Apocalypse Airsoft event this Decemeber, and I'm trying to upgrade my outfit. I love the suggestions. I just need to find a hat I can add antlers to. Need to stay on theme for my Apocalypse Viking
would look certainly cool but also get caught on stuff all the time & be bulky :) imo one of those things that work better in games than in reality for comfort

A cool modification for the left glove would be a built in compass or watch(just an idea, I was thinking kinda metro style)
