Only three of the original eight TV studios remain now at Television Centre, Studios TC1, TC2 and TC3. Which is a disgrace, that a national broadcaster, funded by us, should decide that five brilliant television studios should be demolished. Disgrace

When the BBC originally left Television Centre in 2013, they relocated to BBC Elstree Centre in Hertfordshire. Since 1984, the BBC have been at Elstree, in the studio complex originally owned by ATV, a former ITV company. Eastenders is made there today, and the BBC always had a large entertainment studio called Studio D available for them to use instead of Television Centre. However the BBC entered a partnership with the commercially owned Elstree Film and TV Studios, which is located next door to BBC Elstree, and since 2013, BBC has operated Stages 8 and 9 at Elstree along with George Lucas Stage 2, and will continue to do so until at least 2029.

There used to be official tours of BBC Television Centre when the BBC owned the whole site. There are clips online. Also, until the pandemic, ITV Daytime used to offer tours of TC2 and TC3, where Lorraine, Loose Women and Good Morning Britain and This Morning are made.

I know some people that went there recently and had a tour so I think might still be happening or if not might have to be in the audience?

I want to have the penthouse suite. So many classic buildings are places to live now. The television 📺 shows that came from that building.

Hmmm, is it really worth trekking all the way out west?! But the video was very interesting! Nice statues! But 2 million for a flat there? Would rather spend on a lovely flat in Hampstead or Highgate!!

Just stumbled onto this video and I was wondering; where is the middle of the concourse? I've got tickets to the Russell Howard Hour and on my ticket the meeting point says the 'middle of the concourse' but I don't know where this is, as it's my first time going there. Can you tell me? Thanks

Hi there, the studios are to the left of the complex as you face it, so I am sure it will be there, especially as always seen the queues there of people to go in. Also there are always security guards walking around this front area. Enjoy :)

Steve, would imagine the apartments are handsome. Could be an interesting hub in which to live.. I'd also imagine there's great *amenities when owning an apartment there, residents well taken care of. If you have the means, are a very social - albeit private, too - kind of person, are nourished by urbanity, theatricality, etc. - could be dynamite respite. Clincher would have to be the "look" of the apartments, however.

Has to be top specifications at that price (or do they add those on top....?)

I thought the building's demolished! Damn, the only thing they got rid of is their logo.
