I am super lucky to have secured a Superfast order slot! Usually on this channel we would be driving a Ferrari 812 Superfast but today is a slightly different format of actually choosing the spec on one! I have a Ferrari 812 Superfast on order but it won't be arriving for at least 12 months! So i'm taking you along for the ride from day one as we begin to build the colour and spec theme of how the 812 Superfast may look when it arrives!

Spec wise I would go with what you showed us now. But do change the color of the car to DARK BLUE! It would be great, making the car appear more classy, than with the silver/grey. Also, dark blue fit perfectly with the yellow brake clippers and Ferrari badges. On the interior, keep the tan/cream. And only change the stitching to dark blue matching the exterior. This is my personal dream spec for the 812 superfast...

if wanted the car to look elegant ,then silver wheels it is. But if wanted a sportier look, dark wheels is the best option. as for the 812, dark wheels will suit it characteristic.

James, choosing an exterior colour is a tough choice. But if it were me, it would be either Grigio Tatanio or my first choice, Grigio Granito. I think the lines of the 812 lend themselves very well to either colour, especially Grigio Granito.

  • @SamuelWhitby

Here you go James, this is how I would spec my 812 Superfast:
(Would love a reply/reaction to whether or not you like it)
    Paintwork:
    ·External Colours: Rosso Fiorano
    - I liked this colour as it reminded me of the deep red that the 599's had.
    Rims and Calipers
·Rims: Matt Silver forg. racing wheel
·Brake Caliper Colour: Blu Vrake Calipers
    ·Additional Options: Titanium wheel bolts
    - I left the wheel caps as they are, I think the carbon ruins the Ferrari logo.
    Body Components:
    · Front Wind Carbon
    · Carbon Underdoor Cover
    · Carbon Fibre Rear Boot Area
    · Titanium Sport Pipes
    · Rear Bumpers Sides in Carbon F.
    · Front Bumper Insert Carbon Fib
    · "Scuderia Ferrari" Shield
    · Privacy Rear Window
    Additional:
    · Carbon Fibre Filter Box Cover
    · Front bumper protection film
    · Suspension Lifter
    · Front and Rear Parking Cameras
    · Adaptive Headlights
    · High Emotion Low Emission
    - Left the rear diffuser, prefer the lines with the colour.
    INTERIOR:
    Colour and Materials:
    · Interior: Rosso Ferrari (Alcantara)
    · Interior: Blu medio (Alcantara)
    · Stitching: Filo Speciale Grigio Chiaro (Special Stitching)
    · Carpets: Alcantara Interior Carpet Blu medio
    Seats:
    · Seat Style: Daytona Racing Seats
    · Horse Stitching: Tortora
    · Seat Belt: Rosso
    · Daytona Inserts: Blu medio (Leather)
    · Inner Details: Tortora (Leather)
    Additional:
    · Racing Seat Lifter
    Doors:
    Alcantara Trim:
    · Door pannel cent. trim: Tortora (Leather)
    · Pannelo Porta Colore A Scelta: Blu Medio (Leather)
    Door Options:
    · Exterior Carbon Fibre
    Cockpit:
    Dashboard:
    · Upper: Blu Medio (leather)
    · Lower: Blue Medio (Leather)
    · Carbon Fibre Dash Inserts
    Steering Wheel:
    · Steering Wheel: Blu Scurio (Alcantara)
    · Tachometer: Yellow
    Central Tunnel:
    · Upper: Blu Medio
    · Carbon Fibre Central Bridge
    Luggage Comp, Rear and Roof:
    Colour:
    · Headliner: Rosso Ferrari (Leather Diamond stitch)
    · Upper: Blu Medio (Alcantara)
    · Rear wall: Charcol (Leather)
    · Rear Parcel Shelf: Blu Medio
    · Boot Carpet: Blu Scuro (Alcantara)
    Additional
    · Square Pattern Headliner
    Accesories:
    All except Navtrack anti-theft system.
Hope you like the look, I love the red on black as it feels quite British. It's a darker red so that the car is appreciated for the car and not the stand out colour. Hope you like this Spec and would love a reply from anyone who may change things on mine. I want it to look as good as possible. XD

If you are looking for the most low profile spec I think that's a great combo. On the other hand, the fuoco red absolutelly made your F12 stand out. If you want that presence I believe you need to pick a color that pops some more (maybe look at a Griggio Alloy?). Anyway I would definitely go for the TDF's wheels (not a fan of the forged ones since the launch tbh). Anyway enjoy the experience of speccing the car, I can only imagine how much fun it must be. Cheers from Portugal!

I'm glad you're thinking outside the 'red with tan and daytona seats' box. Would you consider omitting the scuderia shields too? I just think the shields are too much... plus the yellow background of the shields doesn't always blend in with the body colour.

I have yet to see this prancing horse beast in person: but personally I would do it a dark blue with a creme beige interior and some light or bright red stitching along with the grey tdf wheels. Best to do an in-person factory tour so you can see for yourself what sort of options are available for speccing as your mind will open up to more options. Certainly will be amazing to take us through the journey and experience of your car purchasing. good luck.

Man it seems like so much fun to spec a car in a cool room with technology for a few hours, knowing that every wish can be granted. I would get it in yellow, with TDF rims and yellow calipers. Then for the interior i'd have a tanned leather/black one with the steering wheel in tan swell. I would keep the diffusor in yellow as well.

Orange and its variations like red are the complementary colors of blue, which means they create the strongest contrast when placed next to each other.

When it comes to Ferraris I tend to like the brown with the traditional red colors especially, Rosso Scuderia. With a silver car like you said the theme can be set differently. You mentioned you like carbon so maybe a colored interior like a red or maroon with the silver stitching would compliment the silver exterior color.

    Dark blue with tan leather.
Silver, Grey or black with a deep red leather.

Been playing around on car configurator and gotta say it's a lot of fun.
I like the silver, would definitely go Grigio Titanio exterior.
Matt black forger racing rims with Giallo Modena brake callipers.
I'd go mad with the carbon fibre (likely less if I actually had to pay for it, but yeah), I'd make the rear diffuser, front wing, underdoor cover, and the front and rear bumpers carbon and I'd have the black ceramic exhausts. Also Scuderia shields.
Interior I'd have all Nero with Giallo stitching, horse, and seat belts, Daytona racing seats. Carbon fibre door sill kick, central tunnel, and dashboard inserts. Yellow tachometer and passenger display.
    Simple, racey, slick af.
    Also, your watch. Audemars Piguet?

Brown/cream interior only goes well with blue exterior cars imo... The gray/silver needs the black or gun metal TDF wheels, with a dark interior.

I think it will look great with a pearl effect black and a clean white/beige +carbon fiber interior

How about an emerald green, tan interior with deep red/ maroon stitching and red calipers. Carbon everywhere!!

Specwise I'd go for a dark grey with a chestnut interior, yellow painted ceramics and to show the design on the inside better black contrast stitching.
And you can never have enough carbon in and outside of the car

All black with carbon parts and yellow brake calipers. Also a black interior with yellow stitching. That would be my dream spec ;) It would look like a stealth bomber :P

I would say the body colour is pretty good. But rather than selecting that lightish brown color on the seats I would day take up the red and black alcantara. That really suits you great

In my opinion you should go with something like the Blue one that's been on ig a few times. It seems like TDF Blue with the TDF wheels, and my god did that look classy.

I think with regards to the carbon fiber rear diffuser or not question it really depends what colour the car is. The picture on your phone of the one at Frankfurt looked the nuts compared to the one on the screen as you were speccing it up. Whether that was down to the quality of the visuals or a slightly different colour I'm not sure. I would go for the carbon one, but the choice is yours James. Looks like there are going to be a lot of choices, the amount of different options these days on Ferraris is quite long these days! Oh and grats man, can't wait to see the final spec! Have to say I think this or a GTC Lusso would look awesome in a dark green with dark tan interior, like the various model of Ferrari Sam saw on his vlogari trip...

If I was to ever get that car I'd get it in that exact spec! It's beautiful! However Im definitely in favour of the coloured rear diffuser at the back, a carbon one would be a bit too much in my opinion, if you had that then it's the dream 812

A more contrasted seat color would look great! I know the brown is practical, but when you open your car you want us to say "wow, that's bad ass"

Really cool video! From your picture I'd go with the carbon fiber for the rear diffuser.
