Good to see Poulomi parivahan has customized Volvo bus to sleeper. Haven't ride a Volvo sleeper yet but the interiors and seats looks really luxurious.
Actually I am a permanent customer of shayamoli paribahan.... And i am from kolkata..... But once poulami gives me a great journey ❤❤❤from siliguri to kolkata ❤❤
The driver is talking on phone while driving this is a very dangerous habit I have seen with private bus drivers. Drivers both hands needs to be on the steering.I haven't seen Maharashtra and KSRTC volvo drivers. Also the condition of highways in WB is poor compared to Maharastra. This where Mamata didi can take help of NHAI which has made good highways in other states.
Is it not the duty of MORTH and NHAI to maintain the National Highways of WB? Both sides are busy in mudslinging and showing each other in poor light.
BTW, does good road and ₹ 91/ ltr diesel go hand in hand? That to with low to normal crude prices?
@@utsavmukherjee2099 Please stop misguiding and misleading people. Maintaining NH is the responsibility of Govt. of India. That's why people pay taxes and moreover tolls with FASTag to Govt. of India in the expectation to get basic infrastructures like good NH. Now do let us know who is busy on what like election rallies and foreign tours.

Nice coverage. Two things still sucks while traveling KOL SLG .i.e 1) NH road condition and 2) Roadside restaurant/hotel food (they charge more than double.Quality and taste really suck). Not sure about improvement of 2 but I hope NH will be better( if budget allocation is utilised and work will happen in reality)

Great vloggging. But one thing really annoys me seeing all the captains of these masterpiece engineering marvels... None of them ever wear seat belts..... WHAT! When will our deshvasis understand and respect the seat belt. I survived a major head on crash in the UAE 14 years ago all thanks to the seat belt!

In Tamil nadu we have lot of volvo sleepers, which are very comfortable. However, the risk of road travel by night is always there.

Why Govt don't make Kolkata Siliguri Expressway.. Everywhere every state is doing it like Mumbai - Nagpur or Bangalore - Mysore or Bangalore - Chennai.. This should be the highest priority of Govt
Bro problem is the population density. And narrow area around Maldah and Dinajpurs. The existing NH and Rail track even need to enter Bihar and Jharkhand(Rampurhat section) in order to connect North and Southern part of Bengal. So if you ask for another expressway then there is no room for placement of the new road. The only way to pave the new road through Bihar again. And since the NH goes by the shortest distance through Bihar then the new road must have longer distance than this. It can only be done as GOI project since State Govt. of WB can not acquisit land in Bihar. Even GOI do so then it can not be helpful due to the longer distance. So before you compare take look at the map of WB against the other states of which the expressway you have mentioned in order to get an idea of the geography of the state before you compare and judge.
@@smithangshu Sorry to say bro. But land acquisition is not real problem. Didi is busy importing Rohingyas from Bangladesh. So who will take responsibility. They project was pass long back but due to corruption and carelessness of state govt, still it is on hold

Come to any major station like Howrah, Sealdah, Kharagpur, NJP, Asansol etc. station you will see people of which state come to there most and also the other job fields Taxi driving. Btw, if Bihar's road so good then why people from Bihar comes to Bengal to drive Taxis and other vehicle in Big cities like Kolkata, Asansol, Durgapur, Siliguri etc.? Don't they like good road. Or Bihar's roads look better in your comment only but driver's from Bihar don't feel it? Again I will tell you I don't have any problem with Bihari people. We treat them as our friends and brother. But don't bring any dirty politics in it.

I travelled siliguri to kolkata back in 2018 from greenline bus while returning from sikkim it was ok ok experience
In general there is not much traffic.. but in somedays you could even find travel time is more than 24hours.
Good video, good presentation! One thing is remarkably visible all over India seater buses are being converted to sleeper buses. What will happen during day time journey?
First of all, thanks a lot. Coming to your point, if I leave the overnight buses or buses taking upto 12-14 hours journey time, there we can consider people have to seat also during day time. Now official VOLVO Sleeper is not available, VOLVO just gives the shell and Body builders makes it. Considering case of VEERA, They have a very good concept of that backrest. So It is not difficult to seat during day time. Headroom is also available. In case of other sleeper, such as MG, thier sleepers are not comfortable for seating. You can barely spent 12 hours sleeping during the journey. Starz/Dreamz Headroom is also very poor. Also if you get the bus built from local builder you have all options of customisation. But until and unless its VEERA, it will be very difficult to seat in the sleeper berth. If your height is something more than 5'5" than definitely you face problems and discomfort . However Semisleeper/Seater buses have a very good future, so it will take a very long time to completely eliminate seater VOLVOS. Volvos latest addition is 13.5m B8R in which seating capacity is increased by 10% and will definitely become a success bus in future
