In anticipation for the upcoming game, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, it's time to go back and see how almost every TMNT beat-em game are able to hold their grounds on their own today.
This is the game that started it all. While obviously there is room for improvement. The basis of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge got its start here. Of course Shredder's Revenges takes more from the sequel, TMNT: Turtles in Time, but that game greatly improved things over this game.
I have played this game in awhile... I had no clue you fight Bebop and Rocksteady twice... and no idea you could trick them to knocking each other out with their charge attacks.
Its easy to spot. not much experience and consistent strategy, doesnt know the safe zone in sewer stage. the - off mame games have many deaths ( no re-record ) @@lordgargamel4124
Very cool. I bet this'll become a popular challenge when the Cowabunga Collection gets released. Is this any easier/harder to do with the other three turtles, or do they all play the same?
Donatello has a longer reach, and Raphael has a different special attack. However, I think that Leonardo and Michaelangelo are kind of even with each other.
You're clearly using some kind of cheat here. The foot soldiers and robots are all passive and never gang up on you, which they do in the game. Also explosions in the skateboard levels are obviously hitting your hitbox but you aren't taking any damage.

I'm playing this same game right now for a no-hit and my Donatello doesn't move this fast regardless of the button mash speed. You character is sped up.
I haven't cheat enabled. What time? Maybe he didn't hit the hitbox. Or a more serious hit is needed to deal damage, I don’t remember exactly. I recorded the video a long time ago, since that time many other games have passed.
Played this at a barcade last night with a buddy and we sunk all of our tokens to beat it 😂

Great job. My only issue is you had to go through all of this on the game, only to have Shredder being way too easy of being a final boss.

Arcade game has been ported to NES, PC, XBLA.
Unfortunately the is a lot of luck involved here. At any point the very first boss could have just chose to kick or smack you with his gun.

Wait, how are you button-mashing on the bosses? That's usually a very good way to take a hard hit.
