- It's not easy to find a good demo of "old school" sculpted flamework these days. Here's Sandra Jahn, close up and personal, showing you how it's done. Filmed by Marcie Davis at the Lauscha factory, Farbglashuette Lauscha, and narrated by Sandra herself. What beautiful glass…perfect viscosity for sculpting. Stiffer than Effetre, softer than boro. See that TRUE red??? That's why we love Lauscha! www.firelady.com
Wow how are their no comments on this!!! This was one of the best worded and documented tutorials on RUclips haha! You have and accent and you still actually talked everyone through it, gave input on your style and techniques on how to pull the feathers etc.! Thanks for the quality video, Keep on melting! -Weerd Glass
lovely. i did not know that you could do that with soft glass. thank you.
It depends on which soft glass! And how well you understand your heat...This is LAUSCHA glass, which tends to be a little bit stiffer than some other soft glasses, and makes it perfect for sculpting. If you work with boro, you can see by comparison what a wonderfully long working time this glass has. I love the way you can create those delicious curves for the tail feathers!
My x husbands mom had a rooster almost exactly like this one that was stolen from us I really like it too I just hope whoever has it realize the beauty in glass work like I did.
Hi I like it can you tell me what torch is that , where can I buy one , thank you
Interesting.
very nice video. 104 glass cracks all the time for me :(
Old world style?
Old is the opposite of new.
