I just started watching the series and it's well worth the time - all quality elements - great actors, intrigue, historical footage.....One absolutely cannot watch this when one is tired as I originally did when I started the series....There are critical elements all along the way and every detail is important....

No, this is not Armenian music. This is Soviet music. Any composer of the Soviet era grew up and was brought up in this socialist environment, which was reflected in his work, fed ideas and led to unique results. Tariverdiev is no exception. Therefore, it is absolutely incorrect to isolate by nationality.
Tariverdiev belonged to Armenia as a nation, Armenians as an ethnicity, and Soviet Union as a more extensive set/category. To put it in logic terms, the two are not mutually exclusive. @@juryfiesta2370
