Interesting review of Unearthly. I have the old formula for one of their palettes, Warms My Blood, and I agree, I love the shimmers in that palette more than their new formula. If you use a glitter glue, the new shimmers really sparkle
Shame about the Unearthly not living up to the quality expectation, I also would like for them to improve their formulations. Colourstory is very nice though. I also liked the looks you did with the Romand palette.
Hi Maaike I added that Rom&nd palette to my skincare cart when it was first released, so I have had it for a few months. I do like it, but on my skintone it has some warmth and is more of an Autumn palette for me. It’s the same great matte quality that I really enjoy from the others I have and I’m not unhappy with it. It’s just not as cool toned as it looked on the site and was a bit disappointing for that reason. I really like the matte shades in these palettes but I don’t love glitter on my 52 year old hooded eyes and therefore sometimes pull in a single in a more smooth metallic finish for the lid. I will say that the dusty fog garden is a good basic matte palette for lighter skin and a lighter take on the matte palettes released from Patrick Ta last year with a warmer and cooler row of “neutrals” without breaking the bank. Best wishes x
I was looking forward to get your feedback on the Dream palette because I was on the fence for weeks now (the palette was still on sale a few days ago on Monolith). I finally decided to pass on this and your review conforts me in my decision. I think you're one of the few creators I saw having mixed feelings about it and I have to thank you for your honesty. I decided to pick up the cooltrals from cosmic brushes instead because I've heard good things about the shimmer formula. Granted, the color story is different but the price point seems more "fair" to me.
Yeah I like the color story but the shimmers are lacking. I know some people will say things like: but you need a glitter glue. Sure, I probably do, but a good shimmer DOESN'T NEED a glitter glue to work.
@@FloatinginDreams Exactly. Considering the price, you shouldn't have to do any extra work to make it work. I know it's an unpopular opinion but I stand on it.

I don't know what's up with all these brands messing up their shimmer formulas.
@@FloatinginDreams speaking of shimmers, I got my first Gloss Gods order. I bought the Gal on Jupiter and Oh My, Stunning!
Hon, your hair is so pretty❤

The Romand is great!

I can't wait to try more of the cooler.toned options K-Beauty has to offer and see if there any actual true cool tones available.
