Two suggestions, if you like. Wrapping krypton tape stops the air flow which plays very significant role when the cells heat up. Raise a L end for soldiering wires so as to avoid heat going into the cells. Perforated fiber sheets on 4 sides may be put for mechanical denting.
I want to do this with 38120S cells to build a 12-14 volt 80 (ish) AH battery pack, can you recommend a good source for information on this? I do not understand how you came up with the grid pattern for the buss bar.
Great job friend, but I'd like to know how wiring the same BMS board as a 4S2P pack, but, seeing where each wire goes where and voltage at each wire soldering, all videos I've seen they cut out and go to end showing the finished job. Thank you.
Very late, but: the wires go to the same place, at each split between series cells. You are still 4S, so you still have the same number of wires going to the pack. The extra parallel packs don't change the wiring, the parallel packs are joined at each series split.
@@MarkPentler A bit late 😁. But thank you so much for replaying. This time I've just finished a 5s4p project and, of course, learned something about assembling batteries packs. Thank you, you're always welcome
Hi brother, i made a 4s lithium ion battery with a 30 amp bms. After completing the wiring the bms out put voltage is below 12 v. At the battery end its 15 to 16 v. I did nt connected to charger yet, only connected a battery level indicator,.. When i first conneected the charge indicator it showed the charge which is full, after some time its not shwing anything. Then i checked the out put voltage found below 12 v. Is the bms damaged?
@@SteveWillsonKujur I bought 3s 60a bms but it has different charging and discharging points know I don't know if I'll be able to see if it's full charge In my mppt solar charge controller
Nice video mate... the trouble is with almost every one of these videos that you clever fellas make.... you don’t explain our show for long enough to see what the battery spot welding configuration is as in where to connect the strips to what batteries pos and neg terminals. When you’re learning like I am that level of instruction would be great 👍
@@rogergreen6953 the 4s4p configuration means.. there are 4 sets which is created with 4 individual cells. Each group of 4 cells creates 1 set. On each set there is one positive and a negative. On the BMS you have B+ which goes to the positive on the end of the pack. Same with the B- which goes to the negative at the end of the pack. Positive and Negative are located opposite of each other. On the BMS you will find B+ and B-. Those are connected to each side as explained above. You will also find P+ and P- those are used to wire the Positive and Negative wires used to power whatever device. You can use any battery connector to connect to whatever you desire. As for the BMS balance leads connection which are labeled B1, B2, B3 a wire goes from those pads to each positive cell in the 4 groups. You wont find a B4 because the 4th positive is considered B+. I hope this helps to fill in the gaps. Learning is key and not everything is given in a video. You have to do your homework..
@@acdlogistics586 Yes. Not sure what you mean by "doing the same thing." Each one of those leads are combined into the balance plug. 4 positives and 1 negatives. 5 wires.

You totally could hand model. Nice complexion and skin tone. Im jealous.
the voltage of a fully charged assembly is 16.8 volts?how many amperes of bms?
Up
Great video & helped a lot. The other half, who was listening from the other room & thought i was watching naughty movies with the music. lol
Awesome work, dude. Really well done! 😊
Thanks man
@@SteveWillsonKujur Looking forward to the project where you're going to use the pack! 😃
Stay tuned

I need a plan to make this Pack with balancercabel.
Great job, for whom knows a little is great help for a 4s4p configuration.
Hi
This config is new to me
I didn’t know we can have 4S4P in this way too.
Can you share some kind of diagram to explain this configuration
what is the white connector on the BMS for?
And, where is thermistor placed?

Is the bms damaged?
Yes it's a faulty BMS
hi bro
how make 6s6p battery pack in this model...?
Can I use a 16v transformer charger for it?
how many mah does it have and what voltage i need to use to charge it?
Can you change and discharge in the same time
Yes

This battery can't
Bro can i connect 4s lithium battery level indicator...

yes i totally agree if some was too explain and show where the bms wires are attached and the orientation of the bus bar etc we all have too learn
