Hi Andrea, The antique print on that board with all the distressing came out beautiful. Liked the blending of the 2 colors. I have to try it. The way you added the transfer to the matte gave it a lot of character. Another beautiful piece. Iam sure both will sell fast. Hope you had a great weekend.😊🐞❄️Mine was a snowy one
Have you used the DIY waxes? I saw you were using Waverly and there is just SUCH a difference. I'd be happy to buy you some to try if you haven't yet! Love your projects girl❤❤❤
Yesss, I love DIY waxes!! This was a project that I did a while ago and was just getting it out! But I've recently been experimenting with DIY waxes and I love them. Thank you so much!
I don’t know if you have ever watch Jami Ray Vintage, they have lots of Transfers and Beautiful DIY paint, it is awesome paint, I am a new Subscriber, just trying to help you, but you are doing great, From Louisville Kentucky
I do watch them some. I love experimenting with all different brands and kinds of paints and waxes. I love different kinds for different purposes. Thanks so much for the tips. Thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel!
Ok, let me first say that I'm not criticizing, I'm just trying to learn. What was the reason for putting the white wax over the dark blue on that plaque and then going over that with two paints? Thank you ❤
That's fine! Great question. One reason I like to do that technique is that it helps blend paint sooo much better. It changes the look and gives it a layering look. Also, Waverly doesn't have a built-in sealer, so using those waxes also creates that sealer to protect your piece!
Oh ok. Thank you so much! Didn't realize paint would even adhere over wax so I was so lost 🤔 love learning from you guys... You did a beautiful job on all of it! Watching a second time to make sure I didn't miss anything ❤❤❤
Super quick words of wisdom, if you will lol, whatever you do.... DON'T put TOO MUCH salt in your home made salt wash texture paint 🤪😂😂🤦♀️ Yes, from experience, omggggggg...... I actually threw the shelf unit out, lol! It was SOOO much to sand off and being in an apartment, well, it not only made such a mess, but salt sticks REALLLLLYYYYY well. Lol! I was going to bring it to my dad's garage and use his air tools, lol, but I kept forgetting it at home and after 7 months of sitting here, I just tossed the dang thing. Lol, I put so much work into prepping it too, lol!!!! Ugh, lesson learned. I was actually so afraid of making that mistake again, I ended up buying the salt wash kit, however it's pretty expensive and only wanted to give it try to see if it's that much better. I think the key is.... Just don't add too much, sometimes less truly is more 😂😂
I did the same technique with the coarse salt, baking soda, and paint. Even after letting it all dry over night, it caused my water based clear coat to congeal instantly upon touching my paint. Any idea why this happened?!?!
I'm so sorry, I just saw your comment! That is a good question and I'm not quite sure..Let me do a little research and I'll see if I can figure something out!
Maybe it was the water-based clear coat. Next time, maybe try waxes to seal. You could also try just salt or just baking soda. The other day, I did a texture paint with just salt, and I loved the outcome!
I was between projects, and the first few minutes of the video, I was holding the camera. 😅 But the rest of the video is still. Sorry about that. Thanks for watching!
I love how you add all the pieces in the little green box. It looks great put together 💕💕💕

What kind of printer do you use
I have an Epson Et-3850 ink jet. You can find them at Walmart, Best Buy, and probably Amazon too.

I would love to watch your videos, but you must be using a head camera, since there’s so much movement.
