Hey DJ, Randy with the Collector's Guide here, nice shirts! Great video, the local parking lot shows are still the meat and potatoes of the old car hobby, and unlike the old days where everybody was hung up on originality, they are, as you say, beauty contests today. This was an excellent primer for folks to use. Too many shows have gone to just letting the contestants themselves pick the winners, which is pretty lazy, and time and again you see the person who brought the most people with him winning everything. Then the other local car show regulars tend to start hating on that guy - see that a lot down here. It's always better when small shows have actual judges, and even better when the judges know something about the cars. Too many times down here, the shows that are judged are judged by people that sponsor the show and they don't know a darned thing about cars. Back when I was younger I was an AACA and CCCA judge, and those judging sheets were seriously thorough! Good video man and take care!
Hi Dennis, why is there new jeeps at the show? They didn’t seem modified in anyway…….my 2004 corvette with 20 miles in perfect condition would be the star!
@@DJsClassicGarageI disagree. If you come to the car shows where I live, you have 0 chance of winning unless you're a judge, a host or a friend or family member of the judges and hosts. You have to be in their social circle to win.
I gotta pay 2 Chrysler 5th Avenue, new Yorker.The judge is walked right by me.I had to chase him down 9 × 2 come.Judge my car.The car showroom condition.All originand why all the new cars when I have no idea though three or four years old incredible

Yes, they are considered Chrysler products. Lots of stock stuff comes.

Have you ever had any issues with you car covers? Any scratching while putting it on and off and also which brand are yours?
No, the one on the charger has a cotton lining. The BMW has so so paint but I always cover it clean so it has not scratched from the cover.

Very simple. Chrysler bought AMC Jeep in 1987 and they are considered part of the Mopar group
It would scare the hell out of me to have Dennis judge my ride … my wheels get washed too … when it rains ! 🚘

Car shows are rigged from my experience. The judges and car show hosts give themselves trophies, ruining everybody else's chances😡😡
Not all shows. This show is very fair. I judge classes I know nothing about and know no one in it. COndition and prep.

Because the judges are bias towards 80's and 90's classic cars. Especially if they're baby boomer judges.

Most shows are classed. New and old do not compete.
