    I have been putting The Ordinary's Argeriline on my 11's & my smile lines from nose to lips. It truly did lessen my lines, especially the smile ones. It took about 6 weeks or so. One day, before putting on my sunscreen, it just hit me that I could barely see them anymore. I apply it 2x a day first thing.

    @paige6042 6 лет назад +51

    Argireline absolutely works! I tried using it on the wrinkles on the corners of my mouth, but it relaxed the muscles so much that I started seeing odd globs/protrusions forming when I smiled that were caused by needing to use different muscles to smile because the ones at the corners were working less. It has also almost diminished the lines above my lips in less than 3 months. PLUS, I’ve been thinking that I look less genuine when I smile because my crow’s feet hardly show at all anymore. The under eye area has greatly improved because that’s the part that gets out of shape when you squint. Less squinting = less crepiness. I can’t say enough good about it. I’ve never seen a product work this well. I use The Ordinary.

    Great video, especially your note about the limitations of company-sponsored research. A couple add-ons: Peptides should be kept away from light and air exposure, so I would avoid products in jar and clear packaging. Also, peptides can become unstable in water, so water-based formulas are less than ideal.

    Let me save you the trouble of adding that extra step in your routine.....I tried TO Argireline for at least 6mths & found it completely ineffective. It’s not “Botox in a bottle”, nor does is prolong the effects of Botox. I wish it had though! Thanks for the thorough video 👍🏼

    Great research! Being a nurse I really appreciate evidence based research. Too many people fall for the buzz words and pretty packaging of marketing and don't actually research whether the company's claims are valid. I am new to your channel (7 months) and new to the whole anti-ageing world but it is nice to find a channel with some real substance for mature women and not someone just blowing smoke up our ***es! Keep up the good work!

    I can't believe how much I've learned from these videos. When I read the ingredients (on everything) and come across a word I start to pronounce and realize I totally know it! I have been going over this exact subject in depth the last 3 wks and came to the same conclusion!! We must have been the ones clogging up the Beautylish website trying to get that Argireline!! LOL! I finally got it, should arrive today. I really think it's working for me! My opinion is to try it if it's not expensive or make a plan to try something new each month to see what work for you. That's what I did. One difference is while you get yours in the Olay cream I have separate bottles of Niacinamide (great for pores on my chin) and straight Hyloronic Acid which I will sometimes use around the worst places before foundation to plump. Otherwise, I use them at night. Next, I'm going to get the Mad Hippie cream, I like their face cleanser. This was great thanks so much! xo

    I'm so glad you discussed argireline. I used a product that was based around it for several years, but at the time I was in my late 20s/early 30s. I was using the products for more as a preventative to aging at the time of course, so I didn't really see any benefits from it. Now that i'm in my middle 40s and understand the potential benefits I may consider adding it to my routine again. Your information videos on anti aging ingredients and products has been the most beneficial thing i've found in my pursuit to understand what ingredients work and why!

    Another well done, articulate and informative video :-) I must admit, I too, have wondered about efficacy of peptides but as hope floats, I purchased a month ago, the Argireline Serum 10% from The Ordinary and I 'think' it is making a difference in terms of the depth of the wrinkles.....both eyes, 11's and mouth seem 'less' deep somehow.....I use Buffet AFTER my TimeLess CoQ10 enzyme because I find it really helps the redness too....I follow your routing almost to the letter save 3 products I have added in (Argireline Serum 10% am/pm, Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA - AM only and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, PM only) thanks and hugs Angie.....we all so appreciate you.....

    Dear Angie, thanks for an extended review on peptides, also for dividing them by categories, very helpful. I've got 2 questions:
    1. Since Buffet by TO contains Argireline, do you think it's safe to to apply it on entire face, in terms of sagging it might cause? And if it is save because of a low amount of Argireline included, would it be ok to use Argireline serum on the targeted areas in addition to Buffet?
    2. Doesn't the fact that Olay cream's jar packaging bother you?
    I really hope that you'd find the time to answer. Thanks in advance

    Thank you for doing this. It cleared up so many questions I had about peptides. I fell in love with the Olay cream you discussed when I was much younger. I wish I would have stuck with it religiously because you look great! Recently I ordered a huge amount of new anti-ageing beauty products from The Ordinary, The Inkey List, and Drunk Elephant and some other brands from Sephora. My two favorite new things are TO Granactive Retinoid emulsion, and TO glycolic acid 7% toning solution. These are only for night time and can’t be used on the same night (I don’t think). I recently was checking out what The environmental working group (EWG) had to say about the safety of Retinoid and Acid exfoliants like AHAs. They weren’t recommended very highly and I was further frustrated about the safety of SPF which is extremely important to me these days. The EWG has a list of recommended products that are the safest. The SPFs are all mineral formulas that contain Zinc oxide or zinc oxide and titanium oxide which I can live with because I want to avoid the nasty side effects from the chemical versions which include endocrine disrupters among other things. But the bad thing is that zinc oxide and titanium oxide are used in tiny nano particles which I hate the idea of. The most dangerous thing would be breathing them in so I would avoid any SPF sprays or face powders unless you are very careful. 👋 scientists of the world: please find a safer sunscreen or study nano particles in sunblocks to ensure they are safe and don’t get caught in the pores and oxidize down there further aging and causing problems . I’ve been reading too much about sunscreen, perhaps.

    • @Mel-pb5xw

      Often EWG unfortunately includes a good deal more fear-mongering than actual science, so definitely don’t use their “info” as your only source.

    Love your channel. I'm a fan of Ordinary's Buffet. But I also use Olay Regenerist for evening moisturizer, after retinol serum and it. is. everything. Such an underated moisturizer in my opinion.

    Lovely result for 56. I’m delighted by my look at 47 but I know
    It’s not forever. I have to work at this!
