friends, hello! i hope you've been doing well 😊 things have moved sooo quickly since bali. i can't believe that's two weeks ago already! i miss my mom already. but alas, life moves on, and i'm grateful to be back in perth. i'm happy to see my plants and go about my daily routine again hehe 🌼

Aww another wonderful video! I was so excited when I saw this one! The food looked so good agh and cool to see you reading After Dark. I love Murakami's books (seriously gotta pick up another from him, it's been a minute or two and I would love to hop back into his books), he's got such an intriguing writing style. And seeing all your old art books and such was fun, reminds me of all my old art books I have lying around lol.

The first I read of his was Norwegian Wood which was a great one to start out with and a lot of people I know love The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (though I have yet to read it, hoping to soon!!), but my personal favorite would be Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage (long name, I know. I usually just call it Colorless or Piligrimage and have to look up the whole name lol). I read it during a low point in my life and it was exactly what I needed. Since then, it's stuck with me and I still think about it often. If you try anymore of his works, those are some good ones to go for! Happy reading~

I've heard that Murakami's books are quite sexist, what was your experience with how he writes women?
this was the first book i read by him and i was told it’s way more toned down than his other books. i didn’t really find this one sexist, moreso blunt. but there was nothing offensive about it! i might need to try his other works and see if there are any differences in his writing :)
