I agree with your assertion that the half press will not work in a high stress situation. When you get the adrenaline dump your hands are like clubs and that level of dexterity is not really something you should expect unless you are training and practicing a LOT. I do like the manual lock out.
We've had a couple of E 12s for a looong time. Mine gets used almost every day, low is really low, let's me maneuver through the otherwise dark house without tripping on stairs or stubbing toes. Medium and high are bright enough for any household use. Thanks for the review.
Reason Fenix gives a without battery weight is they sell lights without battery. Not all battery's weight the same. Ive bought Fenix units without batterys... Still carry my pd36r & e18r/ld15.. love the the review James ,thank ya sir for it .👍👍👍
Nice review James. I've owned Nitecore, Olight, Nebo and Fenix flash lights for many years and they all have worked good. Just have to get used to the different interfaces. The ones with a simple single button and few selections are the choices I find best for wilderness use. YMMV. Thanks for the video.
Great review. I absolutely love Fenix lights. I have probably 8 of all kinds. They have some design flaws no doubt but they are extremely reliable and durable.
At first I didn't like the idea of that 3 position switch, but you're right about trying to remember the procedure for software lockouts. What battery does it take? I'm thinking it might be a 21700 like my Sofirin LT1S lantern. I actually prefer 18650's because I have lots of them. $140 is too much, I guess I'll stick with my Workkos FC11. It has a much warmer light and magnetic tailcap too.
Can i also use a 18650 if needid? I have a lot of 18650 as spare. I like this flashlight. Only some new nitecore light you can use some 18650 if the 21700 runs out. ? Then this will be a great light
Good review. For my part, I love the half press/full press system. It is simple and efficient. I don't think that during cold periods, my body shakes enough to cause a problem unless I had Parkinson's...🤣😉. Do you find it too hot at maximum power?
Hello friends, I am about to buy a tactical flashlight, I have 3 options Tk22r Tk20r EU TK20R V2 Which one do you currently recommend and why? I would appreciate your help, thank you very much🙂🙂
hola amigo! long time, no see! amigo, love your vid and location of vid!, but i could never ever spend that much money on a flashlight! you should show things the average hombre can afford.😢 also you never answered my last remark i made about you vid of steak tacos. 😢 you should treat you amigos better i think
Drinking game idea, take a drink every time James says "once again"🍻

Agreed 100% , also from personal experience. The half press is not practical in high stress situations.
One of the better flashlight reviewers out there. Nicely done, bro.
Good demonstration!
Thank You.
I got your back on these lower viewed flashlight vids bro

Love these light reviews, especially being a a Fenix and not being a damn overrated and overpriced Olight. Keep them coming !!

Wow Fenix making a light with a colored anodizing? So beautiful and do they have other color lights right now that aren’t black?
Nice light sir

Indiana Jones vibes...
Yo - jf. Neat light but i would NOT buy any because its ROUND.
Shud be square, triangle, etc. Lay it down , will not roll away.
Maybe the clip will keep it from rolling?
