American here, this is what a president should be, he says things and acts, reduced murder rate by 58%. He has the respect of the world now, especially after the speech with the troops. Good job El savador for electing one of the greats, he is helping out America so much by getting rid of the gangs, hopefully Mexico follows El Savador's policies against crime. He has my respect and the American people respect him.
But by taking over the entirety of the government and having virtually no checks and balances? It’s a tough discussion to have. Shows results, but does the end justify the means?

He has the mindset of the founders here. He is right in everything he said. I hope that when his time is up his successors work with the same mind set and love for country that they don’t destroy what Pres. Bukele has worked so hard for. I can hear his love and sense of duty in his voice and his innate belief that all men are created equal with the right of freedom and their right to pursue their own success and happiness. He is not a dictator as the other side tries to convince people to see him as but a thinker and an excellent President who wants to see his fellow Salvadorian living better and living in peace. Every person should listen to his speech. Excellent.
